Online Degrees ?? - Orlando,FL

I am currently attending school online to get my MBA. I attend Bellevue University which is based out of Bellevue Nebraska and it is a legit school. The prices were much cheaper than a lot of the schools here in Florida and it gives me the flexibility that I need. It is a non-profit private institution which keeps the costs lower and they don't charge extra for online courses like a lot of other schools. I would suggest checking out which programs might suit you.

Yes, G., there are good online degree programs in many fields, and how wonderful that you're thinking ahead!

A good place to start looking is with the credentialing group for the field you're interested in. If you type something like "medical assistant recommended online programs" you'll be likely to find quite a few choices. Read a number of them to find out who credentials the program, and you'll begin to see the same group mentioned quite a bit. Then go to their website for information on which programs the credentialing group recommends.

You do have to be careful, but online trainings and schools are much better than they used to be. Be sure the program you choose will give you whatever license or certificate you need in your state.

I have just seen an informational TV segment saying that the on-line schools have proliferated. Some are legit and many are worthless. You need to find out what accreditation the prospective school has - what educational organizations approve of the schools and back its work. The presenter warned that many employers do not recognize certain of the diplomas because of lack of credentials for the issuer.

If you're careful and "do your homework" you can get yourself what you need. If not, you've spent your money on nothing. Be careful - and GOOD LUCK!

Maybe you should visit schools that offer the courses, in your area. You can ask questions to a live person and also find out if they offer classes online. They may be able to refer you to an online school affiliated with them. Also check ith the vocational schools here that are run by the Orance County Public Schools, sometimes they offer classes like that. They may also be able to refer you...Good Luck! My husband is an Admissions Manager for Everest College Online. There are locations around the country, and several colleges use the same online site. I don't know if they have the degrees you mentioned but I got my bachelor's degree from Columbia College. They have a campus hear in Orlando and their main campus is in Missouri. Excellent school! I am in Nova Southeastern University for my Master's program and they also have a local campus as well as a main campus in Ft. Lauderdale. Another excellent school. The main thing to look for is are they an accredited school? The other thing I think is important is if they have an actual campus and the online portion is a sub program or addition to their regular school. Good luck!
