Let me first give you a short version of my history.I've never had a miscarriage or any pregnancies complications (that im aware of). After my second child I got 1 single shot of the depo LAST sept. That stopped my periods for a while but in the last 5 or 6 months I have been getting regular normal cycles.Mine usually lasy about 5 days total with heavy the first day and it gets less and less as the days goes by. By the second day Im usually really light, and my cycles havent come with cramping since I was younger before I had kids.Usually they come and go with no pain...just moodyness that I dont reconize.Well I woke up yesturday morning and I had started, not a big deal even though it was a little heavier than usual.Well almost immediately after I left the bathroom I started getting cramps and alot of discomfort along with NOTICABLE mood changes. If I notice it affecting me, I know it's bad!I still didnt think much of it...but since then and still to today I am having a good bit of discomfort and am having enough bleeding that just going to the bathroom (sorry if I offend) I get alot of bleeding and its basically coming out at a steady trickle.By the time Im done with using the bathroom it looks like I have bled to death.Im not use to this much bleeding but I know it can be normal.I guess what I want to know is since I have no idea of wether I was pregnant or not,(wasnt trying but me and my husband have never used protection and both our children are planned). If I took a pregnancy test right now,if I had been pregnant...would I still have enough hcg for it to show up on the test? And at what point should I be concerned if I should be at all?I've considered just making an app. with my doctor but I owe 75 to her now and my office requires you to pay upfront not only any past bill but if u are without insurance, u have to pay the bill upfront before your seen.If it gets worse or doesnt change...what can I do as far as seeing a doctor?

I was just looking on a website trying to find things that are related to my cycle and I come across a link aboit uterine fibriod.I read all of the symptoms which are long gushing periods and cramping (my complaint now),fullness or pressure (ive felt that since I gave birth to my second, which kept making me think I was preg),low back pain, pain during sex (Ive also been having that but I thought it was the positions or b/c of having the baby),and urge to urinate,(also something that made me think I was pregnant.Ive been having ALL of these.I think come monday or when my husband gets paid next thurs I am going to call my doctor and speak to her and ask if she thinks I should come in and get checked. But I'd still like the thoughts of anyone who has also had these symmtoms and if it was cause for concern.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well I called my doctor and she is only going to charge me 60 bucks for this upcoming visit on thurs. But I do have to pay my previous 70 dollar bill when I come in so that's not bad.I'll be sure to write back in and let everyone know what she says on thurs.

It sounds like your period is just changing. Have you been having clots with your periods? If not then most likely you are not having a miscarriage. When I had my miscarriage I had a lot of clotting and I bled for about two weeks. And heavy bleeding for the two weeks. The first several days was a lot of clots coming out. I hope this helps.

What is a SHAM??? U need to see ur doc. or go to the health dept. Most likely due to depo shot I would think.

I would go and buy a home pregnancy kit and do the test. I miscarried twice, and with one I knew I was pregnant and had bleeding for a week, and my home pregnancy kits kept saying I was positive. I ended up having the blood test done, and my hcg levels were going down, so that's when the dr. confirmed miscarriage. At least if your test comes back positive, you will know what is going on without having to go to the doctor. But if you're experiencing that much bleeding for much longer, I would definitely go get checked out - you don't want to have too much blood loss and pass out! My periods got heavier after my kids, and unfortunately the doctor says that's normal.

Take care and let us know what happens. You're in my prayers!

I was on depo for a year. The only side effect I had was a complete absence of a period for almost two years.
I suggest you contact your doctor and let her know what is going on.
In the event of an emergency, resonable doctor will see you and let you work out the financal details later.

C.,

A good rule of thumb to go by when it concerns bleeding: If you are soaking a maxi pad each hour, you need to go to the doctor. The emergency room if necessary. If it isn't quite that bad, but bad, then definitely make an appointment with your doctor. You could have miscarried or you could have benign tumors. You have to be careful. Go to the doctor and please let us know how you are!

Hi C., you should definitely go see your doctor just to make sure everything is alright. If you were having a miscarriage, you would pass clots, and if you take the home pregnancy test, it may also tell you if you are pregnant or not. Let us know what happens!
