I really liked MOGA. Dr. Erickson was my official Dr but the NP at the Phx (Mary) location always did my annuals and Dr. Myer actually delivered my son because she was on call. All of them were fabulous. I went to the Chandler/Awatukee location a couple of times with my second and saw Dr. Jackson and he was really nice, but by that time we had moved to east Gilbert and it was too far to drive all the time for prenatal appts. But I really liked them and wished they were closer so I could go back. I have not yet found an OB/GYN that I like as well. Also, I was referred to them by a friend who has some complications and issues with her girly parts and she loves them too. So good on both ends of the spectrum.

Yes... to their location on Ray Road in Ahwatukee. I've never been to the downtown office. I know a couple friends who prefer the Ahwatukee location. Dr. Lexine Hebets is my OB/GYN. She delivered my 3 yo and Dr. Stacey Mayer delivered my 4 yo. I really like both of them very much. Loretta, their Nurse Practitioner is super super nice too.

Hi M.!
I am actually an L & D RN and I work with MOGA at Good Sam (where you would be delivering....) They are a wonderful group. Many of our RNs actually see them for their personal pregnancies, and a referral from an L & D RN for an OB is a pretty good one!! If I had to pick one Dr of the group it would be Dr. Urig (he was noted as one of the top 100 docs by Phoenix Magazine hast year), but the whole practice is great. You absolutely can bring your husband to any exam whether its prenatal or annual, and they are a great group about taking time and answering questions. Good luck and I hope you like them. They really are a great group!

Hi M.,
I used to go to Dr. Hebets at MOGA, and I MISS HER! I moved to the East Valley and it was just too far to travel, so I switched OBGYN's and I just had a horrible experience with the birth of my second child. Ugh - info for another post. Anyway, Dr. Hebets is so kind and compassionate. I had to have female surgery before I ever got pregnant, and she stood at my side kind of stroking my arm as the anesthesiologist put me under. And she was so great before, during, and after the birth of my first child. I would highly recommend her.
About your husband, I have taken my husband here and there - no doctor has ever seemed to mind!

I haven't dealt with that office, but for your latter question. I feel that if you want your husband to be there than he should be there. The doc offices shouldn't mind if he is there and if they do, that is their problem. Honestly, it is not about them, it is about you and making sure that you receive the best care that you possibly can. With all my experiences with doctors, the ones who care about that stuff you drop them and find one who fits into your regime. ALl of this is meant with love. Always remember that you are the important person in the equation, without you they wouldn't have a job. :)

Can't help you with Maricopa OBGYN butI take my husband to my OB appointments. The doctors never mind. I think it shows a supportive husband. Especially if you're having problems or something, I would ask him to go with. I think it's easier to have him there hearing everything first hand. I can never remember to tell him everything the doctor says. And sometimes he hears things differently than I do.

Good luck!

I really like Dr. Mayer. Dr. Erickson was my OB when I was preggo, but last time I saw her after my son was born, I didn't like the way she handled my questions. Dr. Mayer is great and so is Dr. Eurig (not sure on the spelling). Overall, they are a great group of doctors. I am sure they would be fine if you brought your hubby.

Don't know about Maricopa GYN, but I have ALWAYS taken my husband with me. It has never been a problem at all. In fact my longest term OB/GYN actually seemed to enjoy the male contact. I wouldn't stay with a DR that didn't welcome my husband. Just my opinion. Good luck!
