I have been with my doctor for over 5 years now, but lately she seems to be too busy and calling to ask a simple question to the nurse is like pulling teeth. I have had endometriosis in the past, and I am currently experiencing bleeding problems again. I have had a period for 3 weeks and she doesn't have time to work me in or even consult over the phone. It's very frustrating to be ignored when I feel I have a legitimate problem. Any suggestions? Or is this the norm?
Hi C.! Dr. Eric Hazelrigg of Contemporary Care for Women in Gilbert is fantastic!! So personable and really cares about you individually. I had a wonderful experience with him delivering my son via c-section last October. Also, a friend of mine who experiences many "womanly" issues goes to him and really likes him as well. Dr. Christine Brass-Jones at the Center for True Harmony & Wellness is the best! She has an amazing practice that includes a naturopathic doctor, and she combines the best of East and West medicine. You can even get facials and massages there! You should look into The Center for True Harmony. Dr. Brass was my savior when I started looking for a new OBGYN. I have a friend who also goes to see her and has been having some wierd issues with her periods. I'm pretty sure Dr. Brass has been super helpful. I have called the office there with questions for the doctor and she called me back in a matter of a few minutes. Plus they have child care in the office!
You didn't say what area you were looking in. I go to Dr. Linnerson at Contemporary Care for Women at McClintock/Guadalupe in Tempe. Recently I've been going through some stuff with sterilization and I've got to have a repair done in October. He has spent more time with me (in person and on the phone) recently than he has with my last baby. His staff has also been readily available and flexible with scheduling and especially with navigating the insurance. I can't say enough good about their office. Good luck!

I had my worst experience at Dr. Christine Brass-Jones' office. I always had to wait at least 30 minutes for every appointment. Her office staff is not friendly and extremely unprofessional. They didn't bill my insurance ontime so I had to pay for my annual exam out of pocket. I could go on and on. I went there for 2 years and I will never set foot in that office again!
Morningstar OBGYN Dr Leonard is awesome. highly recommended!

I 100% stand behind my Ob..I am currently 35 weeks pregnant..and after a loss last summer my doc is AWESOME. She is fun never rushes me and alwasy seems to listen when I need to talk. Her name is Mia Van Eken at Valley women for women on Val Vista..just south of the 202. Right next to Mercy Gilbert. SHe is the ONLY doc there I see. Good Luck!!

I use Dr. Muniz she is awesome she actually sits down with you & talks to you like a human. The receptionist was nice vert pleasant to speak too. She has 2 offices 1 off Baseline/Gilbert the other I'm not a 100% sure as I haven't been to that one.. her # is ###-###-####
Your doctor should always listen to your concerns and make themselves available to you, especially when there's a problem. I absolutely love my OB/Gyn-Dr. Gregory Desanto at Camelback Women's Health (http://www.camelbackwomenshealth.com). I've never had to wait very long for an appointment, any calls to the nurse or doctor get returned quickly and I've only ever seen my own doctor. I've been seeing Dr. Desanto for 7 years, he delivered my daughter and I recommend him to everyone. He's very personable, his nurse is great and everyone in the office is pleasant.
