Dear K.,
From January 1st to June 30th I walked 300 miles with Leslie Sansone, and I watched what I ate. I lost NOTHING. It was so very frustrating! I had gone to my doctor (for something unrelated) and asked her what could be going on.
She said when I got back from my vacation, to bring in my exercise log for the past 2 months, and my food log for the past 2 weeks. (I had not been keeping a food log - just watching what I ate.)
So, after vacation, this is what I did:
*Wii Active 30 day challenge
*Found how many calories I am supposed to have, and started counting calories during the day
And, you know what? I have lost over 7 pounds and 7 inches in 3 weeks!
My point being - I thought I was eating and exercising good. Apparently, I was not.
Here are my suggestions to you:
1. Start weight bearing exercises
2. Find how many calories you need according to your current weight.
3. Keep a log that details what you eat, and how much you exercise. (It will help tons if you get one of those calorie counting books that tells you how many calories are in food)
You said that you are hungry all of the time. Do you eat enough protein?
Drink v8. Even if you don't like it. Just drink at least eight ounces per day.
Make sure you are getting your fill of fruits and veggies.
Maybe you are not eating enough? There was a time, a few years ago, when I would get so exhausted on my exercise days. Come to find out - I was eating under 800 calories a day - even though I was eating all day! Some healthy fats (olive oil, peanuts, avocados...) go a LONG way!
Good luck to you. Let us know how things go!
