My almost 8 mo. old daughter is now refusing to eat unless she is feeding herself. So my dilema is to find things she can feed herself and not choke.

What can I do next?

Some other thing are bread with butter, pancakes, soft cooked carrots, peaches, steamed apples & pears, soft cooked noodles, meat loaf balls, avacado, cereal soaked in milk & drained b4 you give it to her. If you don't have alergies they you can do strawberries & scrambled eggs too, but you may what to check with your dr. first on this one.

If you are going to try to find canned make sure you avoid added sugar and salt, it is not recommended infants under age 1.

We too went through this phase! It will pass.

Here is a list of things ;can goods- beans--veggies(mixed)--fruit cocktail--babanas(sliced)--noodles-- smoothie popscicle--can sweet potated and cherrios--

if you are bottle feeding her then you could get a feeder bottle or what i did was make the slit bigger in the nipple and added baby cereal and baby food in the bottle with a little formula--you can add yogert --fruit and veggies
it worked very well.

Trial and error
god bless and good luck

Most babies love the feel of food and feeding themselves. There are tons of things like chopped up cooked pizza, chopped very small, cheese cubes chopped up, diced up lunch meat, hard boiled eggs diced up, tiny pieces of fruit (gerber graduates has a huge line of healthy fruits, veggies and meats), cheerios, crackers, Special K cereal was a favorite of my kids dry on their high chairs.
