No Sex Drive - Middleton,MA

I'm with you. We used to "do it" 3-5 times a week. Then we had our daughter (now 16 months old) and we're down to once, maybe twice a week. And not because I want to, but because I feel I have to. I blame my method of birth control, but really, I'm distracted and TIRED!

I agree with the other responder- I think our husbands should count themselves lucky. I know a lot of other moms of young children, and most report having sex once every 2-4 weeks!

I think you and I are normal, given the circumstances. I'm 31.

hi D. well with a 5 year old and a 1 year old id be surprised if u wanted to do anything if u want to go ahead and try doing it then maybe u and him could spice up how u do it try candles or takeing a shower together or maybe have him do more fore play to get u into the mood good luck

My advice: Tell your husband he's lucky ... mine gets it once a month! LOL :) Try not to worry about it - in my experience, the more you worry the less you'll want it.

I think 1-2 times is great considering you have small children and it is exhausting. I'd tell your hubby to survey his friends and co workers who are married w/ small kids.......... I'll bet ya most married w/ kids arent getting anything more than him!!!

Not unusual at all, I felt the same way when my girls were small. It is exhausting to care for two small peoples constant needs. In addition, they are physically attached to you most of the day. It is not surprising when they finally go down that you would want your body to yourself.

Also, if you are or recently stopped breast feeding your hormones naturally decrease your libido and lubrication making intercourse undesirable and uncomfortable. (natures way I guess of making sure the present baby gets a good head start before a new one can arrive!)

Try explaining this to your husband and understanding his needs try and work out a compromise. Best Wishes.

My girls are 7 and 9 now and I'm 48 and very interested! Unfortunately my husband doesn't seem so interested now.

After I had our third son I had an IUD inserted and sex just hurt. But after several goes like that I got smart and got a lubricant. It made it much better. As other SAHM's I am extremely tired by the end of the day, but we still manage to be "intimate" 3-4 days a week. I think the key is that it is okay to have a quickie. Good luck!!
