No-sew Decorating for Plain Backpack

I do not sew and am not that handy with crafts. Can anyone give me some easy but permanent (as in won't peel off and look tacky) ways to decorate my daughter's backpack? I bought her a plain pink L L Bean backpack for practical reasons, but she had been wanting one of the decorated kinds she keeps seeing at the stores. (This is for kindergarten.)

Thanks. My daughter will be thrilled if I can manage to make it look cute.

What can I do next?

Besdes iron on patches you can buy glitter and jewel stones that iron on also. You can buy glitter paint and decorate with them. Just go to a Michaels or Joanns, or Hobby Lobby and ask for help. They will steer you right.

Yes, Iron on patches is probably the way to go.

Also, you can buy little animals that clip clip onto the backpack zipper that she might like. I've seen them at girly stores like claires or Justice.
