No Bake Cookie Recipe

Does anyone know of a recipe for "No Bake Cookies"? I made this when I was in second grade, many many moons ago..It was fun and delicious. Since microwaves or crockpots weren't accesible in the classrooms back then, early 80's, there was no warming of chocolate or anything else.
I do remember that it had chocolate, coco powder, dry oatmeal, and other things that I cannot remember.
We will be making crafts at our KDO program and this would be a fun edible craft for the kddos.
Thanks for all your help..

This is a great treat and simple to make. Enjoy! COOK TOGETHER: 2 cups of sugar, 1/2 cup of milk, 1/4 lb.( 1 stick) of Land of lakes butter, 4 tablespoons of hershey cocoa. Boil for 1& 1/2 minutes. ADD: 1/2 cup peanut butter ( I use crunchy so it takes care of the nuts part) 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, @ 1/2 cups of quick oats, 1/4 cup of nuts or coconut. Drop on wax paper( reynolds cut-rite). They will harden and be irresistable! Tip: After you remove from fire, add the ingredients quickly because it hardens fast. Stir completely before dropping. While Heating to boil, stir constantly. Use a non-stick pan. God Bless you. I am a third generation and my daughters use it too. Its a Great Christmas treat.

That's so funny that you requested this today, because my twelve year old told me last night that she is going to make these today to take to a church potluck tonight. Here is the recipe that we use, and she does it all by herself.

Fudge Oatmeal Cookies
2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup shortening
1 tspn. vanilla
3 cups oatmeal

Mix sugar, cocoa, milk and shortening in a pan. Bring to a boil for 3 minutes. Remove from stove and add vanilla and oatmeal. Mix together and drop on wax paper or foil by teaspoons, and let cool. They will set while cooling.

I made up a recipe for a nutritious no cook ball which I love and it is well received when I share it. If you don't have a coffee grinder that you don't use for coffee, you can buy ground flaxseeds and do the rest in a food processer. Fresh ground flaxseeds have wonderful Omega 3s, so it's worth buying a little coffee grinder and dedicating it for seeds and nuts and grains.

Betty’s Nutty Seed Snacks

Grind first 3 ingredients in coffee grinder to make total of about 1 c. ground meal:
½ c. ground pumpkin seeds
¼ c. ground flax seeds
¼ c. ground almonds
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. almond butter or peanut butter
1/3 c. brown rice syrup or honey
1 tsp. vanilla (optional)
3 - 4 T. raisins
3 - 4 T. pumpkin seeds
2 T raw sunflower seeds

Unsweetened coconut

Mix ground meal with wet ingredients
with wooden spoon. Stir in raisins and seeds. Roll in unsweetened coconut or finely chopped almonds. Refrigerate.

The only recipe I have for this has to be boiled for 1 min. It is a great recipe, but you do need a stove or cook top! Good luck!!
