My oldest son, now 10 years old, went to Walnut Creek Private School near 287 and Debbie Lane, and my 4 year old will be going there next year. It's an amazing school, and they usually don't have waiting lists for the 3-4 year olds. My older son does incredibly well in school and I think a lot of the reason why is because of the strong foundation he got at Walnut Creek. He went there for 3 years. It's worth checking out. Good luck!

My husband and I are members of First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth (downtown FTW). We live near 287 also, close to Forest Hill area. It isn't too far from our church. It is about 15 minutes away from our house. Our kids go to Parent's Day Out at our church and our church drop in care. So, our kids are there 3 days a week. There is a wonderful Preschool there! Right now is the time to register. Yes, you are right on that, if you want a spot for the fall or even the summer! We are turning our paperwork for Preschool this Friday with our registration fees. Our preschool is licensed and accredited, which says a lot, cause they have higher standards to go by. I'm active in the church also and a lot of my friends have their kids at the preschool and just rave about it and talk about how good it is. We have music and science time in Parent's Day Out program. We have a wonderful playground that was recently upgraded and remodeled. The person you need to talk to is Nina Burrows or Rui and here's the numbers- the preschool office is ###-###-####. You don't have to be a member of the church to go to the preschool. However, there is no guarantee you will get your first choice on what days you want your child to be there. They have 5 day option, 3 day option or 2 day option. Everyone is really nice and the church children's area is really nice.

I've also heard great things about The Museum School, it is pricey, however I've heard it is awesome. That's the Fort Worth Museum and Science and History Museum. That number would be in the phone book. You could call the Museum and get info on that.

I would definitely look at the churches for preschool, they can be great on that. I'm sure other places are great too. I'm only familiar with our church's preschool and the Museum school. Hope this helps, any questions feel free to email me. ____@____.com C.

Well... I have a wonderful school in Benbrook. She teaches out of her home. Its not a all day thing its only 2 hours a day and 2 times a week depending on the age.
