It seems as though there are a bunch in Concord. However, I love Dr. Rebecca Kolp. She is at MGH downtown and at MGH West in Waltham. Good luck!
Hello - we recently moved to Concord. I left behind a wonderful OB GYN that was so fantastic I wanted to pack him up and move him here. Does anyone have a super awesome Dr. I'm willing to travel if they are incredible. My last dr. really listen to me and he did ultra sounds everytime I went in there. Can someone help me out? Is there anyone in the Boston area this fantastic and your willing to share?

I third the comments re: Concord OB/GYN. I see Dr. Avra Jordano-Alter and love her, but I really liked both Dr. Bond and Dr. Travias when I was pregnant and at Emerson having my twins. Everyone was so kind and helpful!
Hi S.,
I go to Concord OBGYN (Dr Bond mentioned in another post is in that office) and I've found all the drs there to be great. I stayed with the practice even after moving to Arlington. They've been terrific with both the high points but more importantly the low points as well. If you're comfortable seeing a male OB, I think Dr Travias is great. He really has a good bedside manner.
I have a great OB but she is at MGH. Not sure if you are willing to go into Boston. But her name is Dr. Wosu. I like her a lot. Although the only downside to being at a large hospital is that you most likely would not get them when you deliver. I saw her when I had my daughter but she didn't deliver her.
Hi, Welcome to Concord! I go to Kramer OBGYN at Emerson Hospital. I have been with them for a long time and there are 3 great dr.s. 2 female and 1 male. In Concord, I have also heard the Dr. Balcomb at Emerson hospital is great. My friend just had a baby and she loves her. I have heard good things about Concord OBGYN, but the negetive being that you rarely see your doctor, that you just see a doctor in the practice that is working that day. I have a couple of friends that go into Beth Israel and see Dr. Copeland (or Cobeland, something like that). They rave about her, but I just could not deal with the commute to Boston. I have really loved delivering my kids at Emerson, and they just redid the birthing center. If you want more information on good Dr's in Boston, let me know, I could find out some more names from some friends. Good Luck!
Hi S.,
I recently delivered a baby at Emerson Hospital & was a patient at Concord OB/GYN (they're across the street from the hospital). There are three people in the practice & they are all terrific. Their # is ###-###-####.
Also, my son was born 4 weeks premature & they were concerned that he was having some issues with his heart. Emerson has a relationship with MGH & consulted with their cadiologists during the 11 days that he was in the hospital. In my opinion, it's the best of both worlds- a hospital & doctor close to your house with all of the resources of one of the best hospitals in US.
Good look,
R.
Hi S..
I have a wonderful OB/GYN in Concord across from Emerson Hospital
Here is the address:
###-###-#### - 59 Ornac # 1, Concord, MA
All of the doctors are wonderful, I had my second child with this practice, I was also born at Emerson Hospital.
Great Care!
Jordano-Alter, Avra MD - Concord Ob/Gyn
Bond, Jamie MD - Concord Ob/Gyn Association
Travias, Vlassis MD - Concord Ob/Gyn Association
I have seen each one of these doctors... my primary OB/GYN is Avra.
Good luck
H.
Are you in Concord, MA or NH? If it is MA then there is a great OB, Dr. Bond. All the doctors in the practice are wonderful.
There's a great practice right there in Concord--Concord OBGYN. I was in need of a new doc, having moved myself, and found them through several recommendations from Mamasource. I just delivered my little one a few weeks ago and really couldn't have been happier. All four doctors are good, but my hands-down favorite was Dr. Rubin (though a lot of people like Dr. Travias as well; I only saw him once since our schedules never seemed to mesh--they like to have you see each doc at least once just so you are familiar with them, but you might not actually have to).
Anyway, I almost wish I were planning on more children just because I finally found such a great doctor (my docs with my older kids were not even close)! Hope this helps.
Oh, and Dr. Rubin is fairly new to the practice, that's why he's not listed in the other responses. He delivered my baby and was wonderful.
