I have had great luck with Dr. Brown bottles. The only set back with them is if you fill the bottle above the line indicated on the bottle then you will have leaking.
Good luck.
I Am desperately seeking advise on baby bottles and nipples. I am having a difficult time finding one that my son is comfortable with. The problem is that he seems to get gassy with one type of nipple and then I'll try another one and that one might leak from the rim etc. Does anyone have one that they sware on my collection is getting too big!

I use Avent Bottles and nipples and they work great, but I do have a friend that has a gassy little one and she uses Dr. Brown bottles which she says work great, they are a bit more than regular bottles but work good, good luck with your search!

They sell Dr. Browns at Target now. We used them and loved it. a little harder to clean, a little more expensive, but i think well worth it.
Good luck!
dr browns -- start w/ the #1 nipple, then go up fro mthere, they are the best, though they take some time to clean w/ the separate parts, they are best for gassy bellies.
Dr.Brown bottles worked for my extremly gassy daugher. I also tried the avent and playtex but the didn't work as well as the Dr.Brown.
Good Luck,

i would advise using avent bottles and nipples that's what i use for my 4 week old daughter and we don't have any problems at all. Good luck and congrats.
I used Dr. Brown's Bottles with my son a few years back with my son for gas. It helped a lot. The other thing I did was switch to Lactose Free formula which made a dramatic improvement for his tummy troubles. Regular just made him have horrible gas & he threw up soy formula. I have a 10 week old daughter now myself, who also has had a bit of trouble with gas, although that seems to be improving this week. I formula and breast feed her. I have been using the Soothie Bottles with her...they did not have those when my son was born, and I really like them a lot. They are also quite a bit cheaper than the Dr. Brown's bottle :) She also is on Lactose free formula which seems to have helped a lot. Both of these bottles can be found at Target. I hope this helps and good luck.
My daughter loved the Avent bottles.
With my 15 y/o son, 13 y/o daughter and my now 9 month son we used Playtex Originals. They're easy to use and you can buy nipples with slow to fast flow. You can buy nipples made of the traditional material or the clear plastic; my baby likes the traditionals. I do buy new nipples for his collection every 3 months but that's just because of my OCD about germs. Good Luck!
Hi Jackie,
I'm a mom of a 3 yr old & 1 yr old. I had the same issue with bottles & tried a lot. The best for my kids were by Playtex- Vent Aire. You can get them at Target or Wal-mart. They are on a angle so the baby gets less air. Also make sure you by stage 1 nipples. As the baby gets older you can buy stage 2 nipples for these bottles. One of my good friends says bottles by Dr. Brown are great for gassy babies. I tried one, but still liked the Vent Aire the best. Both my kids had colic so I know how important it is to find the right bottle.
Good Luck-
M.
