Hello everyone! I'm wondering if any of you moms use netflix through you Wii? Does it work well? was it hard to setup? I'm thinking about doing this but want to hear how well this works first.

What can I do next?

We use it and like it. The selection isn't that great for the Wii, but there do tend to be a lot for the kids. I think it's worth it.

We stream through our xBox 360 (and also play all our DVDs through it, works as well if not better than any other dvd player), my sister streams through her Wii. It works the same way. We have nearly 200 movies in our instant Q (sorted by kids, school, adult -not THAT kind of adult, just not kidfriendly), and then they have all the tabs for genres etc. to sort through, but I prefer sorting on my computer.

It's great! We've only had it set up for about 3 weeks now but the kids and I love it! Soooo many movies to choose from instantly, and it was very easy to set up.

Good luck,
K.

We have Netflix, a wireless network, and a Wii, but for some reason, our router won't communicate with our Wii, so we haven't been able to try the streaming video thru the Wii. I have been told that we have to get a new router, as not all routers are compatiable with the Wii. SUCH A SHAME! But, at least I can stream Netflix on my iPad.

We use it, and it is GREAT!!! Super easy to set-up and a lot of variety. The only down-side is there are very few popular, new releases available, but we don't mind and use it everyday...

We love it! Pop in the disk and off you go. It's a little tedious to search for movies on the wii, so we search on the computer and add it to the instant cue. The instant cue will show up on the wii and you can choose from there. My little one is in there watching Thomas with her Daddy right now. We don't have cable, so sometimes it is a lifesaver for us!

Hi there! I don't have a Wii but I have an Xbox 360. I love netflix!!! It wasn't hard to set up and it is so cool! You save sooooooo much money through this. I can search through Netflix either online or through Xbox. If I see a DVD that I like, I can add it to my list to watch on xbox, or it can be sent to my house. You will love it! Especially with little ones, there are tons of kids programs. You can find just about any movie too! Do it!

I actually called Netflix to see if I could do a plan just with this service because we love it so much! You just need to click on something online and they send you a disc to use whenever you want to use this option. We have it on a Wii in one room and a PS3 in another. As a matter of fact, the ONLY thing we do on the PS3 is stream Netflix. We don't even own a game!

There are more than 16,000 movies and it's no more complicated than watching a DVD...you just need to get the free Wii disc from Netflix and that's a breeze as well.

We also LOVE this, great bargin. We have a Wii and and Xbox and use it for both. I do the 1 dvd at a time service for about $8 or $9 a month, it gives you unlimited streaming of movies/shows on your computer/tv, and the turnaround time for the dvds is super fast, we usually get 2 per week. Been doing it for over a year, well worth it if you consider what you would pay for pay-per-view or renting at a store.

We use netflix through the wii. It didn't seem hard to set up. In fact the picture quality is way better than it was streaming through our bluray player. I would recommend putting a movie rating restriction in your account profile on the netflix site. The only problem I have found is some non rated films that we would like to watch don't show up, so I have to go into the computer site and change it to all movies when I want to do an exercise video or watch a non rated family show.
The other thing we did is put a password on the wii itself through parental controls. This forces my kids to ask to turn it on since they don't have the pin. You do have to make them leave the room to log in since they can see what numbers you point to with the remote to enter the pin.
We have loved having netflix in the last couple of months. We didn't have cable before and my kids always wanted to watch the Disney channel shows. Now most of them can be streamed through netflix so they can watch an episode of Zach and Cody, or Sunny with a Chance, etc and I don't have to pay for cable. Plus we get all the movies we want.

We use it and love it. I believe the WII has to be connected to your internet and then it will work. We have a wireless router that my husband connected to. If it will work for you good luck. You can get a bunch of movies but you can also get the ones in the mail is great too.

We use it and we LOVE it. I had to register the disk (took about 30 seconds) and it worked right away. My 5 year old knows how to play the next episode of his favorite series and the rest of us can run it pretty well too.
