Ok, so we are about to become foster parents for the first time, and we are looking to put bunkbeds up in our extra bedroom. does anyone have any they want to sell? we are not wanting to spend alot of money, but we are not picky on style either.

So What Happened?

thanks for the replies all! i think we are going to go with ikea. they have a couple of very affordable cute styles. and they are on the smaller side as well. which is good because our extra bedroom is also on the small side. lol
i have been checking craigslist, but the ones ive seen are too expensive.
so thanks everyone for your input!

I would suggest checking out the Frisco Greensheet or Frisco paper/Dallas Morning news (or their online versions) for Moving or Estate sales...a lot of people moving don't want to pay the extra freight caused by the weight. They'd rather "give" it away, and then buy new when they get to their new house! My brother and his wife are also fostering 2 of my nephew's friends, AND they are (hopefully) adopting a girl, who is 10! Good Luck on your new venture!!

I just wanted to suggest that if things like craigslist or ebay (local pick up only) dont work, we bought a very cute set of bunkbeds at Big Lots furniture for $199. We also had to buy mattresses, but those were like $79 each I think. Maybe you could find someone who has a matress to get rid of. Oh, and try CCA..sometimes they have just what you neeed. Best of luck to you in this brave and generous new adventure. Those kids will be lucky to have you! ~A.~

Big Lots in Allen has them. I don't remember how much they were, but I do remember thinking it was very inexpensive. You might want to check the location nearest you.

It takes a special person to be a foster parent. Congratulations and good luck!

I don't have bunkbeds for sale, but just wanted to suggest that if you can't find used, you may want to try Ikea for a relatively inexpensive bunk bed:

There is even a wooden one that is $20 less than this style, but it is not in stock in Frisco and this one is in stock.
