Hi Ladies,
I am debating on if I should get a sit-n-stand stroller. The concept is awesome b/c my loves to be able to hop on and off (usually shopping carts) he is not one to sit in a standard stroller at all. My concern is that with the baby's infant carrier, the seat would need to recline alot and my son would be very uncomfortable sitting in the back seat. Does anyone have experience with this? Is there a particular stroller that was horrible or great for this situation? I would hate to spend any money on something that will not be helpfull at allI I would really appreciate your guidance. Thank you, Thank You!

What can I do next?

hello A., i think i'm the inoffical spokes person for the buggy board on this website. i just love it and it saves you alot of money since you won't have to buy a new stroller. it just attaches onto the back of you stroller and you son can stand on it and my son also sits on it. just tipe in buggy board into the google search and you can look at it. if you have more questions about it feel free to ask me. i know that wasn't what you asked but i thought it might help you.

I personally have a Sit and Stand LX, and I've seen lots of moms with them walking at the mall. I found it at Wal-Mart about a year ago for around $100. It comes with a removable bar for carrying carseat for baby. As baby grows, s/he can sit in the seat instead. The older child can sit in the rear with a buckle or stand on the platform and hold the handles with a different buckle that goes behind the child's back. It closes with one hand and folds pretty small compared to many I've seen. This may or may not be what you want, but remember, when you do go shopping for your new stroller, make sure you fold and unfold it a few times, to make sure you can do it comfortably. Pick it up, roll it around, make sure it will fit in your trunk (bring your tape measure if you need to). You won't want to find out you don't like it or can't handle it after you buy it. Good luck.

First I think you should ignore another post on here. A 3 yr old has a mind of his own, I would know, I have one and just had a baby on the 3rd of this month.

Last year my husband and I saw a Sit-N-Stand at the zoo and thought it was the best thing ever! That mother was using it for 3 children!

As a Christmas present my mother bought us a Baby Trend Sit-n-Stand stroller. This has been the best thing to have!! So far we have taken it to several malls and to a museum.

Now you are right, the seat does have to recline to accomodate the infant carrier, but it is not to far back that my 3 (soon to be 4) yr old son cannot sit there. He sits there or sometimes prefers to stand so he can see better, especially at museums. The stroller has 2 buckles on the back part, one to buckle the child if he is sitting and another that goes on behind him while he stands. It's a great safety feature.

Also, just as an FYI, to be such a long stroller, it sure moves smooth and easy and folds up to be about the same size as a regular travel system. The only thing is that the basket is a bit difficult to reach, for instance we have to put the diaper bag in sideways or it wouldn't fit. Other than that it is great.

I hope this helps you decide, I absolutely love mine and don't know what I would do without it!

Good Luck
