I have research all kind and brands of double strollers, I have a 19 months old and expecting any time now.....but I can't make my mind, my sister says that the strollers side to side are way better to manage than the front and back seat,
I need more opinions about this .......thank you in advance to all.....

What can I do next?

I have a sit-n-stand that we love. We live on a dirt road and also have a side by side jogger that is easier to push around, but it doesn't fit through regular sized doors, so it is not practical to take it anywhere that we might need to go inside. I like the sit-n-stand because it is smaller than a typical double stroller. Keep in mind with the side by side that if you want to take it inside clothing stores at the mall, et cetera, the aisles are often pretty narrow. Good luck! By the way, I have a Baby Trend sit-n-stand and my son easily sat on the bench when the baby carrier was in the front. We still recline the seat to put my youngest in and Clayton never stands. :D

I preferred the front to back but that was just because they were easier to manage in tight spaces (like store aisles) but that's just my opinion, I spent more time at the mall/Target than I did jogging lol! Think about where you'll be using it and make your decision based on that :)

I used a front/back when my dds were little. It was harder to steer than a side-by-side, but I mostly used it in stores, where side-by-sides wouldn't do me much good. Who wants to leave their babies in a main aisle why trying to look at an item further in? And NOBODY wants to be in the same grocery aisle as a side-by-side stroller. Even mall doors would be a tight squeeze. Side-by-sides are even expressly *prohibited* at homeschool conventions. ;-)

Also, I just looked a few models up, and they seem to have MUCH shorter bases than when I had mine 7+ years ago, so I guarantee the steering is better now!

I got the Sit 'N Stand, and was happy with it. I liked that the baby faced me while in his infant seat. Honestly, what I found the easiest though was to just walk with my baby in a Moby wrap and hold my older son's hand, unless we were going on a very long walk. Once my youngest turned 18 months, though, we started using a wagon, and that's been nice.

A side by side is better. and the City Mini by Baby Jogger is the best!!

I don't think your oldest is big enough for a sit 'n stand. I had one, but my oldest was 3. It worked great for us.
I used a double jogger for a trip to Disney and that worked well, except for them picking at each other. lol!
you might want to check out the side by side kind that can hold an infant carrier one side with the toddler on the other. Maybe go into the store with the infant carrier and your toddler now and see if they fit well together.
good luck!

I have a City Micro from Baby Jogger. It's great! And it's small enough that it fits through standard doorways with no problem.
(It's a side/side)

PS: the Phil and Ted's is AWESOME if you can afford it. For me, I couldn't justify the cost. My oldest hates being in the stroller, and I use it to confine him more than anything.

I'd reccomend a Phil & Teds or Baby jogger city select. They both have the foot print of a single, maneuver very easily, and can be a single or double.

I am expecting in May and my youngest will be 16 months old, and I have tried a sit and stand, front to back double, and a side by side. The sit and stand didn't work for us because if you put the infant carrier in it, the only option for the other child is to stand. The option of them sitting on the little bench on the back strapped in isn't there because the front seat has to recline for the carrier to fit in. We also have a side by side which I love, but ours doesn't fit the infant carrier, so we'll be using the front to back until the baby is out of the carrier. I would recommend getting a side by side that fits the carrier. It is so much easier to push than the front to back, and I feel like it's more comfortable for the older child too.

I loved my combi side by side when my kids were little-er. It tri folds to a size smaller then most single strollers, lightweight and fits through standard size doors. It also steers very easily.

I totally agree wihth your sister. I have had the front/back, sit and stand and finally got the combi side by side with my last two. Too bad I waited because hands down the side by side is the best. It fits through all doors, folds up so small and both can recline for sleeping. While the front/back does fit through small isles better, they are SO much harder to push around, especially with the bigger kid in front. I highly recommend a side by side.
