Well If I lived in that kind of humidity I would go with simple/natural hairstyles that do not need hairspray. I would also use Aveda's anti humectant pomade.
I live in Florida. I fix my hair, the minute I walk outside the humidity ruins it , all that work for nothing. I look like i just woke up. It's frustrating when you spend time on your hair and then someone says" Why didn't you fix your hair today"
Does anyone know of a good hairspray? I would like one that doesn't dry my hair out, flake, or turn into glue if water hits it. Price is not a problem .
Thanks

I don't know if it will/will not do any of those things you listed, but it may be worth a try...
Aveda's Control Force is a fabulous hair spray that holds well. They have a little travel size that you can try before spending the $ on a big bottle.

I love L'Oreal Elnett. I also live in Florida and heard about its popularity in the European market before you could buy it in the U.S. You can get it in Target and there is a small size if want to try it. It is a little expensive, around $7.00 for the sampler size and twice that for the large size. Worth every penny.
I know what you mean. I used to spend 15 minutes with a round brush getting my bangs curled and perfect, spray them, blow dry them until the hairspray was hard and dry, and when I'd step outside, it would turn into a frizzy mess of hair on my forehead, as if I had stepped outside with my hair still wet. It looked like tangled grass, so I eventually had to give up bangs. Between the humidity and the heat and sweating, it's impossible to have neat bangs in South Florida, unless you have that thick, non-porous hair like Asians (so jealous!). I have read that Tresemme and Elnett hairspray is decent, but I'm not sure. Someone once told me the alcohol in hair spray is actually bad for your hair and dries it out, so I guess I am somewhat glad to have given up bangs...I agree with Melissa that you should try to aim for hairstyles that don't require spray because of the humidity factor. Even with professional salon-dryed hair and their expensive pro hair sprays, my hair WILL turn into a frizzy mess once I step outdoors.
