I'm new in the Wyoming area and I have a almost 4yr old daughter that I need to enroll into preschool and I have no clue what preschools are good and which ones to stay clear off. Any information on preschools that I can get would be a great help. I've tried going to the preschool web sites but they make them all seem like good schools and I don't want to put my daughter into a preschool that we both turn out to dislike. I want her to have a wonderful first year of school. If anyone out there has any information on preschools in the Wyoming, MI area Please help me out. Thank You.

Hi M.,

I can relate to your post. I never realized how difficult it could be to choose a preschool! My friend's daughter went to Calvin Christian Preschool (on 36th street near 131) and they were both very pleased with the school. That is the only Wyoming preschool I have heard anything about.

Hey M.,

I have three children. My first one went to Calvin christian for preschool 3's and then I switched him to Tri Unity Christian. The teacher is amazing - lots of energy and fun. She has amazing projects for the kids to do that teaches them all kinds of things. The kids never want to leave to go on to the next grade!! The nice thing about Tri Unity is the options that you have for your child. You can send him half days or full days 3x/wk. The full day option is great because then your day will not be broken up going back and forth for half days. Also TUC is like a family. That is the part that I love the most and will be nice for you especially if you are new to the area. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions email me at ____@____.com and I am happy to help you out with anything you need.

Good luck,

L.

Not sure where in Wyoming you are, but if it's an option I strongly recommend Grandville Preschool through Grandville Community Education. Our son went to both 3-year-old and 4-year-old preschool at Century Park Learning Center and enjoyed a wonderful, positive, safe and nurturing experience both years. We absolutly loved it!
Our older son enjoyed two years at Calvin Christian and had a good experience through his preschool years. His kindergarten experience however was a nightmare. We tried numerous times to talk with both teacher and principal to resolve the issues and allow him to feel safe and supported, but to no avail. We pulled him from Calvin Christian and placed him in Grandville public schools (also at Century Park) and it has made a world of difference. He loves going to school again.
Also, depending on your budget and availability to drive, several area Montessori Schools get rave reviews!
