Need Reviews on Bright Horizons, Bothell WA

After visiting a few day care centers in the Bothell area, I am planning to enroll my 15-month old in Bright Horizons, Bothell WA. Of all the day cares I visited, I was most impressed with this one. However, I did not hear hear good reviews from a colleague who has been leaving her 2-year old there.

Can all those mamas who have enrolled their kids here please give me their inputs? Any other day care suggestions in this area are also welcome.

Thanks!

My daughter has gone to the Bothell Bright Horizons since she was a baby (she's five now), and we've had a very good experience. My little niece (almost two) also goes there now.

We've found the staff to be friendly and caring. They all seem to know all the kids. It's clean, and there are plenty of toys in good working order. They also have fun activities (and good curriculum in preschool) for the kids.

I agree with the poster that says to visit and hang out there for a while with your child to see what you think.

Generally, they will let you and your child visit the classroom so that you can get a feel for the teachers and the program. I suggest that you visit during the morning when it is busiest, for as long as they will let you stay. If there are problems, they will arise when it is busy, and you will get to see first hand how they handle them. I worked for Bright Horizons quite a few years ago, and I loved it there. They were all very professional and caring. Like Christine said, get to know the teachers! I hope you find a school that's a good fit for your child and you.

My 15 mo goes to one of the Bright Horizons in Renton. We really enjoy it. I will say, it is important to stay on top of it - but I think that is true of anywhere. The teachers and staff are very responsive and really care for my child and the other children. I make it a point to get to know them and them know us. Look at the feedback from the other parent, is it during a transition time (from one class to the other) or is it just general complaint or a very specific issue that needs to be resolved to her to continue having her child be cared for by the center.

Good luck! I know it is a tough decision.
