I am unhappy with my current pediatrician for several reasons. He has a nurse that often fails to take my son's temperature or pulse ox, and has even written his weight down incorrectly. I voiced my concerns to the DR and he shrugs them off and says she new & young, that she's still learning. He has been impatient with me and doesn't seem to listen well when I talk about all my son's symptoms. I feel he interacts more with his laptop than with me or my son. The laptop contains all my son's info - he doesn't keep "charts". The practice recently stopped talking walk-ins - you must call for an open appointment. I understand that he must see tons of childrens and illnesses everyday, but he shouldn't make me feel rushed or unimportant. Am I overreacting here? Does anyone have a good pediatrician they could recommend?
I have used Southern Crescent Pediatrics since my 7 year old was born - I am very happy with them, especially Dr Sherwood. All 3 of my kids go there. There is a female Dr for my daughter, so she feels more comfortable, etc. They have several locations - one on Eagles Landing.
I use Potts and Smith I think very highly of them their address ans # is 365 North Davis Dr.Mcdonough

Kids First in Stockbridge near Kohls is worth the drive. Elaine Youngblood is by OB/GYN's wife, and has been my son's doctor since birth. She is wonderful, and all the other people we've worked with there have been pleasant also.
I take my daughter to Tri-County Pediatrics, Dr. Brischant is who my daughter sees. it's close to McDonough, but actually located in Stockbridge off of Eagles Landing Pkwy (by the new Starbucks and the wallgreens) i love them! they have always been so nice and helpful!! Dr. Mathew (another one of the doctor's there) is nice also! hopefully you'll find that helpful! good luck!
