It goes to show that we are really just our mind and heart.... the rest is just extra stuff :)
There have been questions about learning experiences...
A friend posted this on facebook and I watched it. I have seen this guy before and amazed at his LIFE!!!
Guess we can all learn something from him, eh?
If you were born like this man - how do you think YOU would handle it? I bet his parents helped a lot in molding his extrodinary attitude towards life....they say someone always has it worse...and really? when I hear him talk? He doesn't have it worse....he has it right!
What would learn from this? What do you take from it? Guess it's that deep, probing question....as a parent - what would you have done if this is what popped out? That is NOT meant to be callous. I think it would be a shock. Personally. Not sure HOW I would handle it. I know that God doesn't give me anything I can't handle.....I would like to THINK AND BELIEVE I would find a way...

"You go through your storms in life, and you don't know how long the storm's gonna be"
What a great quote from Chris. Our uncertainty that we might not make it out the other side, out alive and intact, is often what undermines us. I've made it through a lot and do understand why he smiles so much. I smile a lot, too, these days. Patience, perseverance and self-acceptance are the real keys to finding peace and love for ourselves and others. Thanks for the link!
This guy was on Oprah's Life Class recently and people found him inspirational for sure.. And Wayne Dyer had him on one of his PBS specials..
I am not sure what I would do if born with his condition. In many cases, I can readily say, oh I'd do this or that and live a wonderfully happy life.... but as someone who isn't disabled physically, I personally know at times I have taken my life for granted... which leads me to think.. hey If I do it now, what leads me to believe I wouldn't if I were physically challenged. I might even do it more so.. Therefore, I truly believe that it takes an exceptional kind of person such as this man to persevere no matter what anyone else says... He's definitely the type of person who might not say why me God, but rather.. why not me... I like his attitude.. it's definitely worth catching..
Thanks for posting this. :)
Just watched this with my children. Thanks for the post!!! Blessings!!!
