The Desert Museum in Tucson is awesome!!! Plus there is an aviation museum right there too. McDowell National Park is great for hiking.
Hi Moms,
My hubby and I are going away together, alone, no kids (YEA!) for the first time. We are going to Scottsdale Arizonia for 5 days and one night/day in Sedona. I'm looking for suggestions of fun things to do while out there. Any ideas would be great! Thanks!

If you have time the caverns about an hour south of Phoenix are wonderful. Also old town scottsdale is wonderful. If you like casinos, there is one in Fountian Hills.
A great place to eat without children is A Different Point of View at The Pointe at Tapatio Cliffs. It is a litle pricey but very much worth the cost. The food was great and the view incredible.
Enjoy your trip!
Hello
Definitely go and see the red rocks (maybe a jeep ride) there is a tram that takes you up into the mountains for some hiking (cannot remember what town it is in but I am sure there are brochures suggesting that. Very pretty! Have a great time. We went 3 yrs. ago and loved it.
HI, so I just moved here from Arizona in March (born and raised). The hole in the mountain is great!!! Wonderful veiw!!!It is in Papago park, Van Buren and Priest Dr. In Papago Park has the mountain and the zoo. There r trailes at the mountain which r nice. Also if u go east on Van Buren it turns into Mill Ave which is the hang out for the University. They have lots of little stores, cafes, resturants, and bars. Its nice to go in the evening or night. Also if u like hiking and views u have to go to South Mountain Park "The Antenas". Its off of I-10 and Guadalupe Rd.
In Scottsdale theres the church in the rock that is right as u enter the city. also lots of streams. If u keep going down the main street and at the "Y" go Right u'll go over the bridge. At the bridge theres a parking lot and u can go to the stream underneith which is great. U can send me a message if u want more info.
You will LOVE Sedona. It is beautiful! I am going there for my 3rd time next June for a wedding. Oak Creek Canyon is an absolute must! I don't remember how close Scottsdale is to Phoenix, but several years ago I went to this spot where you could climb up this huge rock formation (there's a trail) that overlooked the city. It was an awesome view and I'm sure the locals can tell you where it is. Jeep tours are fun too and Flagstaff is pretty. Have a great time!!!!
p.s You have to go to the Sedona airport at sunset. The view is amazing. (it's just a small airport)
They have a great zoo near or in (not sure exactly where) Scottsdale.
