Get some thermos and pack chili, mac & cheese, soup, or stew in the thermos. Then pack the normal accompaniments.

We have a crazy Thursday schedule lately with karate and soccer back to back - we're out from 4-7 and I need to squeeze dinner in there! I have been packing sandwiches and apples lately but would love more ideas for a healthy dinner that can be eaten on folding chairs on the sideline.

You could try different salads/toppings in tupperware with plastic utensils. I remember my mom doing that often with us when we were little and on-the-go.
Other ideas:
- Pasta salad with TONS of veggies, cured meats and cheeses
- "Snack dinner"- sliced meats, cheeses, fruits and veggies with crackers
- Room temperature quesadillas (chicken, cheese and veggies)
- Cold fried or roasted chicken with sides (can be eaten with their hands!)
Cold chicken?
Chicken & veggies in a wrap?
Homemade pizza with veggies?
Cold chicken is the best. Serve it with fresh raw veggies like carrots and celery. Cold pasta salads are very good but don't know how easy it would be eat on the side lines. Individual little thermoses with it in there would help. In fact those thermoses would be great for soups, chili or even something like spaghetti. It'll keep it warm enough to keep it safe & should be still warm enough to be good.
Stuff pita bread with all kinds of varieties of food, from tacos to chicken salad.
