Every year we have a halloween party. Being we live in a small town all the kids are invited ( we usually have about 20-30 kids) The ages that come are between 5-14 ( friends kids being the younger ones up to my oldest son's friends 14 and everything in between). I have run out of game ideas for them that the younger ones can play but the older ones wont get bored with, with out repeating the same ones over and over each year.
This year I'm doing the sack race, musical chairs, blind fold feel test and relay race again. We are going to do tug of war and a treasure hunt. But I still need more games. They aren't into sit down activites, I have tried. They like more of the games and running around. I need something that will take up about another hour. But it can't be anything that the kids will get dirty or messy doing being they will be in thier costumes and heading out to go trick or treating as soon as the party is over. We are also going to be mainly outside (thankfully its going to be nice on Sunday!).

starting with the little kids first to the older kids. You can stuff it with cand y and trinkets. You can even stuff it with school supplies if you want to.

Can you borrow a big parachute from the school PE class? There are lots of fun parachute games (so much that I ended up buying one for my kids...
Also, in the library, look for a book called "new games"...Donkey years ago when I worked with college kids, it had TONS of ideas for 'non competitive games suitable for all ages (in fact, there was a second book called 'more new games' as I recollect!)

monster mash: draw faces on balloons & have the kids pop them by sitting on them. You'd be surprised at how kids respond to this! (I store them in a trash bag...all ready to go.)
ghost wars: our absolute FAV! Cut white pantyhose/knee highs into sections. Tie off 1 end, fill it with baking flour, & tie off other end. & the war is simply to throw the "ghosts" at each other! Sounds stupid, sounds goofy, is very messy....BUT it is a BLAST!!! (we also use this for "summer snowballs"!!) Kids of all ages love this, as do the adults!
sunflower see spitting contest: works best on driveways. We just lay out measured sections (3', 5', etc). Sweep off the seeds in btwn contestants. Kids love this game!
"If You Dare": spread out a deck of cards. Everybody draws a card, & "high" card pulls a "dare" from the bucket. I always use goofy stunts combined with the gross! The children have the option to refuse....but few do! Examples are: walk like a crab, scratch your head with your foot, bark like a dog, do the worm, .....& some really gross ones...like suck your big toe!
Divide them up allowing some of the older ones to take some of the younger ones and have a scavenger hunt.
toilet paper mummy contest... split the teams up into groups of 4-5, and have each team pick a "mummy" have them wrap the mummy with toilet paper and tell themto be creative... the winning team gets a prize
What about a relay race/build a skeleton game? I've seen the game online somewhere for purchase or you could make your own out of halloween decorations (maybe the thin cardboard type). Just take a cutout and cut off the arms, legs, head. Have the teams line up at point A. Have the pieces in a pile at point B. On their turn, each runner has to run from A to B, pick up a piece, return to B and add the piece in teh appropriate place to build the skeleton. The first team to build the skeleton correctly wins.
You could do bob for apples, at least for the older ones. They would probably enjoy watching each other go after those apples in the water. Pretty inexpensive also. You could do a cookie decorating station, fun and messy, just what kids love!! Do "ghost" tag. Have the "it" person be the ghost and chase after the others. You could even have the ghost dress up with a white sheet. Have base be the haunted house/fort or something of that nature. The kids could make that with blankets, tables and chairs. 1. mummy run form 2 lines for 2 teams. Better do it by size. All bigger people on one team. Smaller people on other team. Start with a new roll of toilet paper with the first person in each line. Pass it back and try not to rip it. The last person in line has to go undereveryone legs and the first person to the front wins.
2. mummy wrap. form 2 teams to wrap a mummy. race to see who can wrap their mummy faster.
3. Put plastic bugs in ice and put the ice in a punch bowl.

Bean bag toss games - could try having them toss bean bags in to plastic jack-o-lantern buckets or make a cardboard target with a hole they need to aim for. For simple bean-bags - pour some dried beans into a children's sock and knot it shut
dangling donuts - tie donuts on string and each kid has to try to eat his/her donut without using hands
