I am looking for free to low cost marriage counseling for me and my husband. I think we both need some individual counseling as well, however we can't afford much. We are really going through alot right now and I think this might help to save our marriage. Please let me know if you have any one that offers something like this.
I called the PCEC that was suggested and they told me I needed to call my insurance and find out which of their counselors would be in network for our insurance. I called the insurance company and come to find out we have 100% coverage no deductible and only have to pay a $15 copay each time we go and we can go as many times as we want in a calander year. Thanks for everyone's input I am still going to check a few things out as well.

J. I would suggest that you contact LifeBuilder's Counseling Center in Mesquite/Sunnyvale, Texas. They turn no one way for financial difficulties. They have a sliding pay scale based on what you can afford. It is a Christian based counseling service that has been open to the public for about 6 to 7 years now - they have saved many marriages and you will love the atmosphere.

My husband and I saw a counselor at PCEC (Pastoral Counseling & Education Center) on Lemmon Avenue near Oak Lawn. They have several counselors there and because they are a nonprofit they can charge their clients whatever they want. If you call and explain your situation I'm sure they could help you out.
J., my husband and I have recently attended the most incredible "training" seminars to be created! It is called Discovery and will no doubt save your marriage and improve your quality of life. The first session is Discovery 1, this is when you work on yoruself and disposing of all your past and present baggage. The next month is Discovery 2, this helps you with tools to keep living free of hang ups. Discovery 3 is to help you establish a purpose. Through this training, it is guaranteed you and your husband will change for the better but Discovery also has a Relationship Training in April that is amazing! And only one of you has to have been to Discovery 1 for both of you to attend. My husband and I were not in marital trouble and it has still made things 100% better. My friends that were near divorce say they can't believe the difference it has made.
Now, about the money, the trainings do have costs and fees but there are scholarships available. So it may be possible for you and your husband to attend all of the trainings for little or no costs. Please see their website and at least call them with questions: http://discovery-training.com/
Good luck and I hope to see in the future a posts about healing!
The radio has been advertising a program for free counseling. I believe you can call 211 and they can provide you with the information.
Galaxy Counseling Center in Garland - they base your payment off of what your combined household income is. Good Luck! Please feel free to e-mail me. We have been there and they were very helpful. It is not in the best part of town but we felt the people were very knowledgable.
You might try Jo Nardecchia, this is a lady she is in McKinney ###-###-#### does low cost counseling and if she is unable to help might be able to direct you on the right path. she works passed on income.
goto your church and see about low cost counseling
I'm not sure if you're still looking but you might want to consider some of the free resources on the web for a low cost alternative to marriage counseling. Dr. Dana Fillmore, a marriage counselor and clinical psychologist has an offer for Mamapedia members of three free videos with marriage counseling advice. http://strongmarriagenow.com/blog/mamapedia.
She also offers an online video course that includes the key skills and information you would learn in months of therapy. Her track record with couples is way better than average. Three out of four couples who see her stay together where the average is only one out of four. I highly recommend checking out her advice. http://strongmarriagenow.com/coursedetail/3
Check into either Galaxy Counseling Center and Catholic Charities Counseling Services.

Do you guys have any insurance that can help?
I don't offer counseling, nor am I a therapist, but I am hosting two FREE marriage survival workshops in September. One in Allen and one in McKinney. I will be giving couples ideas to do once a day, once a week, once a month, once a year and once in a while to help strengthen the bond of marriage. It's even for unwed couples as well.
If you are interested in more information let me know and I can send you the details.

I believe Irving Bible Church offers low cost counseling.
Call Catholic Charities. You don't have to be Catholic or anything - when I called them they gave me a list of counselors who work on a sliding scale and I found a great one.
Good for you for seeking counseling. I hope it will help you as much as it helped me.
There is a billboard on my way to work near Downtown Dallas that offers free marriage counseling. It says to dial 211 for information. :)
