Need Dentist

Hi Moms! I need help finding a good dentist that accepts Amerigroup (Medicaid). I have taken my 3 girls to All Smiles in Grand Prairie but I really dislike that place. We did go to an All Smiles in Dallas that I thought was okay but it was just too far of a drive. Also, I would like a dentist that will be available. My 5 year old daughter fell against a metal bunk bed a couple of months ago and busted her mouth open (we could see bone where she busted the gums open under her upper lip) and when I called All Smiles they wouldn't see her for 2 weeks. We took her to the ER where she got stitches and they told us to get her to a dentist within the next 24 hrs to check and see if there would be any permanent damage. I called All Smiles back explained everything and they still said they couldn't see her for another week. I just refuse to take my kids to another place like that. All three of them are due for their 6 mth check up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Just because they are on medicaid doesn't mean I should have to deal with that treatment.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I have decided to try Hyde, Bailey, and Miller and see how everyone feels about them because I have gotten 4 suggestions to try them including from our pediatrician. I have called and set up appointments for them on July 9th. So far I don't like that I can't go back with them. My 8 yr old has had 4 eye surgeries and gets very nervous and always wants mom with her. She even threw up on the last dentist. I'm willing to try and see how it goes though. Thank you again for all the advice!

I highly recommend Drs. Hyde, Bailey and Miller. They have a few different offices. One of them does accept Medcaid.
Their website is www.FunDentist.com. The office that I use is ###-###-#### they can refer you to the office that accepts medcaid. I previously had medcaid and used them and now have private insurance and had to switch office. Both office's have a great caring staff. My little girl thinks they are great!

I have the best dentist, I had Amerigroup and they are really good. My children ask to go to the dentist all the time. If there is a problem they will get them in as soon as possible.
They have video games, movie screens over the chairs to distract the kids from any discomfort. I love it, and I recommend this place to anyone with young children.

We have CHIP but we did have the same Amerigroup plan with Medicaid and we saw Drs. Hyde, Bailey and Miller. Pediactric dentists and great staff. We still see them with CHIP but a different office.

If you live in Grand Prairie, call the new Irving Dental Center at the Parkland-owned Irving Health Center (near Highway 183 & O'Connor Road in Irving). Their number is ###-###-####. I don't know what qualifies you to be eligible for services, but I'm sure they can tell you when you call. They are run by Community Dental Care and just opened in March.

I can't find the responses to your question, so someone may have already suggested this. But try Hyde, Bailey and Miller. They accept Medicaid and they have 2 offices in Arlington. I have 3 kids, 7,9 and 11, and I have been very happy with them.
