I have a 2 1/2 yr old who has ALOT of energy. I would love to get her involved with dance or gymnastics. We just recently moved to Frisco and the indoor playcenters at the malls just aren't cutting it. I don't want to be spending a whole bunch of money for lessons though so I would like a place that is reasonable and has flexible hours, I will have a 7 month alomg for the ride as well!!!

What can I do next?

My children love Frisco gymnastics center (FGC). They have free play for non members and members. I think it is $7 for the 2 yr old and free until 18 mo. Coach Myke is my favorite and she can tell you how to buy a book for $40 making it less than $3 to play. L. Nelson

I really love to use what the city or YMCA has to offer and Frisco has a Twoosy Doolers for Art, they also have dance through Miss Sheena's. A friend of mine actually took her daughter there and they enjoyed it. The web site with more information is http://www.ci.frisco.tx.us/departments/Parks_Recreation/i.... I have done the mommy & me swimming but my children are 3 & 6 so it was easier for me to only have one in the water at a time. Oh, and Welcome to Frisco!!!!!

There are a couple of locations for something called Pump It Up. It's a giant building that has many bounce houses blown up in it. I know that Tuesdays and Wednesdays they have a day where anyone can come. I would have to get further details from a friend. If you want more details please email me. Thanks!

T.,

I would suggest you check through the local YMCA or Frisco Parks & Recreation department. Both offer classes for kids that usually only last a few weeks and are relatively inexpensive. They are probably gearing up for Fall classes right now. Also, you can take classes through another city such as Plano. I know from experience that Plano offers more leisure courses than most other cities and they usually cost less than $50. You might find a tumbling or dance class your daughter would enjoy. Plano has several different facilities, and they allow residents of other cities to participate. Good luck!

You should check out Kurt Thomas in the Dr. Pepper Star Center in Frisco, right by the mall. I don't think they take kiddos until they are 3, but I'm not totally sure. Good luck! You have lots of options in this town.

We have taken gym classes at My Gym with our 3 and 4 yr old and have been very happy with the gym and the classes for young children. They have open gym every week in addition to your class. And, the My Gym in Plano does a punch card if you don't want to be committed to a weekly class you can use your punch card for open classes or open gyms when it's convenient for you. They have a My Gym in Frisco as well. I don't know if they do punch cards at the Frisco location but it's worth asking if your interested. We have used the Plano gym and have been very happy with them.

Welcome to Frisco! I take my 2 year old daughter to My Gym on Lebanon and Legacy. They offer age appropriate classes plus "free play" days. My daughter LOVES it! She gets to climb, run, jump, swing, dance... I highly recommend it.

Check out their website: www.my-gym.com

good luck!
