Wonderful moms,
Anyone knows of an affordable place that offers kids gymnastics? My 3 years old boy is so into it but I do not know where to take him to improve and develop his skills.
Thanks,
O.

I don't know where you live, but when my kids were young, they took gymnastics at the local rec center. We live in Garland and each of the recreation centers offered all types of classes for gymnastics as well as other activities. It only cost like $20 per semester! We really lucked out and got a great gymnastics teacher that my son really enjoyed. They do mostly tumbling on mats and walking on a balance beam (at floor level.) I am sure that the professional gyms are more intense and if he is really in to it, eventually you would want to do that. But at age 3, I think the local rec center would be a good introduction.
We love Zenith gymnastics in McKinney. It is just the right balance between loving your kids, having fun & learning great gymnastics techniques while staying focused.
The Plano Aerobats (through the City of Plano) offers affordable classes once or twice weekly for boys ages 4-8. They accepted my son shortly before his forth birthday. Their number is ###-###-####. They were the most affordable program I found
Woga Gymnastics offers classes to all ages and genders. I believe the cost is $60/month, once a week. My friend takes her daughter there and she is really happy with them. They are pretty flexible with schedule, too. If you choose a time/day and need to change it, they will accomodate you as long as they have space. Also, if miss the regular class, you can make it up another time that week. Anyway, just an option to look into. They have locations in plano, dallas, and frisco. Here is there website: www.woga.net Hope this helps
If you are in Plano, Gymstar ###-###-####, Park & Preston behind TGI Fridays) is great! They offer a good variety of times for his age group (this was an important aspect for me as a single, working parent) and they really work with the kids to develop and improve their skills. My daughter did not, but some of the other kiddos in her class started because of delayed motor skill development; you'd never be able to tell it now!! Also, as your son gets older they have classes targeted just for boys. I have been taking my daughter (now 5 1/2) there for 3 years. She loves it and obviously I am happy with the way the gym is run and the instructors. Good luck and I hope you find somewhere that you love as much as my daughter and I do Gymstar.
ASI Gym offers classes for all ranges.

Where are you located? Your local YMCA should have classes. We are in Coppell. There are classes at the YMCA, at our Rec/Aquatic Center, and at Everybody Fits. The last one is the most expensive, but might be less for such a young age. He will probably just be doing tumbling at that age, so you don't need a place with a lot of equipment. Some of the area dance schools also offer tumbling. You could go that route. Have fun!
I don't know what "affordable" is these days, but check out Eagle Gymnastics in Frisco. My husband and I trade off taking my daughter each week and are amazed at the skill level of the little boys in their programs.
The Little Gym... you're in Plano right? There's one there. We used to go to the one in Carrollton before it closed. It was great for that age.
