Need Advice for Daddy and Baby...

My husband has our kids 2-3 nights a week while I'm at work. My boys are 3 yrs and 4 mths, and he has NO problems with the toddler, but the baby is colicky, and especially in the eve, and for some reason, screams most of the time I'm at work. It makes me feel awful, and my husband even worse! He feels like the baby doesn't like him, like they havn't bonded, and like he's failing as a father! It seems that he tries everything I do, but none of it works! The baby is breastfed, but takes the bottle pretty well, it's the other times. He's good when my mom has him, so I'm not sure if it's a male thing? Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

Like Becca I agree with the shirt thing. Also when you are all together have hubby really watch you and how you comfort him, this sounds simple but it may take a while for your hubby to get it. Husbands are wonderful but they just don't have the same thing in them for comforting. In time he will get it. I found praize the hubby helps even if it only worked slightly. Good Luck!

Have you tried wearing a shirt and then having him hold
the shirt by himself when this is all going on?

See if you can find an infant massage class for him to take!

Take the baby to a chiropractor. Helps tremendously with colic.
