Hi G.!

Perhaps I am in a wicked mood today...or maybe my passive aggressive side is coming out...

BUT...

I might be inclined to go with a roll of tape of MY OWN next time...and put it down behind the red line...and inch or so...lol

Seriously, parents/grands can sometimes get a bit carried away! I wish I could say that as the children age, the parents 'improve/mature'...but sadly does NOT seem so.

All varsity football season long, there was one mom constantly screaming at the coach, the ref...her son (the son wanted to die BTW). Anyway, we went to everygame (younger sibs in 'tow') and it seems that 'loud lady' (as my kids came to call her always sat near us...) I went out and got us all 'ear muffs'...and no matter the weather...everytime she screamed at whomever...we put them on. When she was done...we removed them...lol

"loud lady" never stopped yelling...but all those around us got a chuckle (some even got their own 'muffs')...Now I can only hope her son graduates this year!!

Good luck!

My being around soccer for a while, i would talk to who ever is in charge or the coach of the team. They should deal with her. Letting it go will not accomplish anything except make your experience miserable as well as others she decides to "reign" over.

Just let it go. She obviously needs something to do and you will just be adding fuel to her crazy fire if you say anything.

Let it go. Choose your battles. She doesn't appear to be worth the effort

I totally agree with Olivia - Do Not Just "Let it go". Talk to the coach and ask him/her to talk to her. She should be the one to "let it go" instead of policing everyone there. Good Luck!

We do soccer in Spring and Fall outdoor. They put the lines in certain places and I have a hard time remebering which lines mean what. I know the younger kids that referee the very little kids games really jump on people for being too close to the lines. These referees have stopped the game and told people to move behind the line then 15 minutes later had to stop the game again to get the same poeple to move behind it again.

The lines are there for a reason but it wasn't her place to address any issue that was occuring. If the referee thought you were okay then you were okay. But the next one may be different. It must be dificult only having a small space to be in to watch the games. Good luck to your team!

Let it go. Some people have nothing better to do than try to cause issues with others. Let your children see you being a good role model.
