Kiwi Carpet- I have had the exact same thing happen to me. Also try a carpet cleaner that Home Depot sells- it does wonders!
Does anyone recommend a great carpet cleaning company in the Flower Mound area? Also - does anyone know of a good home-remedy for tough stains on carpet?
I am in desperate need! My in-laws' dog vomited all over my white carpet in 2 rooms! It looks like someone took a yellow highlighter and wrote ALL OVER my carpet. GRRRRR! NEED-HELP-FAST!!!

I love my carpet cleaners, Zero Rez. Their number is ###-###-####. They have always been able to get stains out of my carpet - even dog throw up. (I have 3 large dogs - all indoor dogs.) They are a bit more expensive then some of the other places but they are well worth it.
Hope this helps - let me know if you have any questions.

Here is what I have from a little book my mother gave me - it is to treat old vomit stains on carpet, but might work with tough stains (hope it helps!):
Use: Glycerine, Cotton ball, milk, cloth, Vacuum cleaner, cloth, carpet cleaner.
How to apply: How to clean vomit depends on what's in it. Beacuse the stain has been there for some time, apply glycerine with a cotton ball to the stain. Then rot some milk in the sun (the time it takes will vary) and apply the solids to the stain with a cloth. Leave until almost dry, vacuum and then wash the solids out with a damp cloth. Then clean the area with carpet cleaner.
We just had our carpet cleaned by Zero Rez. I don't have the contact info with me since my husband arranged it all. I think he looked up their info online. We were pleased with the job they did and plan to have them back out to finish the other half of the house.
As for a quick remedy, try 1/2 vinegar + 1/2 water mix. It will stink of vinegar for a day or two, but that has really done the trick for us.
Good luck!

We use TLC Carpet Cleaning. They have a tool called the water claw for extremely tough stains. They clean our carpet at least twice a year, and we have always been pleased.
A couple of things you can do at home before the carpet cleaners come--use that Oxy carpet cleaner for pet stains--the cleaners come in two chambers that mix together as you spray. It's awesome. Also, Oreck makes a pet stain remover that is so, so simple and very effective. You can order it online or purchase it at an Oreck store.
I use Nature's Own Pet Stain remover ... you can buy it at PetSmart, PetLand, etc... it has an enzyme that eat biologic yucky stuff... like dog vomit. I had dog vomit that was orange and it worked. The newer the stain, the better, so run to the store!
We've always used Dalworth and they've done a great job of getting our pet stains up. Let me know if you get any good home remedies. I get pet stains all the time it seems.
