Need a Good Pediatrician in Northern Twin Cities

Dr Jill Funk at Fridley children's and Teens is one of the best peds hands down. She has helped me out so much with my special needs child and my identical twin girls.

I highly reccommend Dr Tonya Bryan at Park Nicollet -
Plymouth. She is knowledgeable, really listens and is truly concerned for her patients. I love her and so do my kids!

Dr. Tuohy at Northern Lights Pediatrics in Shoreview (also offices in White Bear and one opening in Hugo) is fabulous! She was recommended to us by several other moms, and we have been very happy. Once when we were having a problem with our daycare not feeding our child what we/the pediatrician thought he should be fed, she called the childcare center at 6:00pm on her day off! She said she'd go there in person and talk to them if she had to. She really is wonderful and my son loves her, too.

We go to the Fridley medical center right across from unity hospital and just love it there. Everyone is very nice and helpful. My son who is 10 months sees Michelle Geleno and she is great. She listens and is patient with everything. I havent found a dr there that i dont like. They are all great.

I have a wonderful ped at St. Louis Park (Park Nicollet). Her name is Kristen Radtke. I don't know if you want to go that far south, but she's a parent herself and listens to concerns. When I wondered about vaccinations, she did NOT act like I was a lunatic. That was nice...

We have a wonderful Ped. in Blaine that we have used for 8 years now. Her name is Dr. Kuku and she is at Blaine Medical. I have an 8, 7, 3 and 1 year old. I love our pediatrition. His name is Jerry Stultz and is located at the riverway clinic in Andover. I am not sure if that is in the area you are looking for, but he is really great, listens to my concerns and responds accordingly. I am not sure how he feels about alternative medicine, I regularly visit a chiropractor and use alternative medicines, but haven't ever really talked to him about it. If you are interested, I would be happy to give you the phone number to the clinic.

I use Dr. Jane Hess At Roseville Mutlicare Ass. She is actually a Family Physician. I use her along with my 3 kids! I've never had any problems with her at all.

I take my two children to Dr. Marjorie Sexton at Allina medical Clinic Coon Rapids. The clinic is affiliated with Mercy Hospital and both take Medica. My kids are 2.5 and 5months. She stays up to date with all the latest research. Is very knowledable. She has great bed side manner and has gotten to know our whole family. She knows I am a reader and always has reccomendations for me to books on anything involving my kids (asthma resources, once a sleep help book for kids)right off the top of her head too. I have never asked her about alternative medicine so I am not sure about that. Good luck.

Dr Leesman or Dr Weinegar at Rivreway Clinic in Elk River are WONDERFUL! We drive from Andover to see Dr Leesman! He is amazingly patient with parents and children. My boys love him and I always feel he listens to me and does not leave the room or get off the phone (yes, he will call HIMSELF to answer questions) until he knows I understand. He is wonderful!

I would highly recommend Dr. Trudie Sprenkle or Dr. Dannielle Semling at the Brooklyn Park Partners in Pediatrics office. They take most insurance, and the office is well-run. We've been going there for 5 years.

We go to Partners in Pediatrics as well and love Dr. Marybeth Mahoney, I'm not sure which offices she works at other than Rogers, but I do know that they have excellent doctors that often make the top doctors lists. Both my husband and I went there as children. They take a wide variety of insurance... we have military insurance and are covered. Check out there website at www.pipstop.com

I also really recommend Dr Tuohy at Northern Lights Pediatrics in Shoreview. At each well-baby visit I came in with a long list of questions and she took the time to go through them all. Our daughter ended up being intolerant to milk early on and she was super helpful- calling us to check up on her etc... And as far as being open to alt. medicine all I can say is that she is working with me on a delayed vaccination schedule for my daughter because of my autism/vaccine concerns. I know two other families who go to her and love her as well - they have kids more your childrens ages. I have also seen two other doctors at the clinic who have been great with my daughter - all around a good fit
