Nearly Full Term and Pain

So I will be full term in a a few days and my little one keeps flip flopping head up and head down. Right now she is head down and it feels like she is pushing on my pubic bone. The only other time I have felt this is when she was head down about a week ago. It is uncomfortable. Has anyone else felt this? I do have a large fibroid this is in the lower back of my uterus (on the outside) so it maybe pushing her forward. My OB isn't sure if the baby will be able to lower in the pelvis because of it. I'm curious to know if others without a fibroid have felt this pressure on pelvic bone or if more of the pressure is typically more towards the vaginal area as the baby decends. I'm trying to see if this is fibroid related or just baby. I'm not having any contractions.

EDIT TO ANSWER SOME QUESTIONS- My doc isn't sure because it is a large fibroid and it is down by the natural exit. Both my OB and perinat have given me a 80% chance of needing a C-section. They don't wan't to be cut happy and rule out the possibility of a natural delivery so my OB says that if she is able to drop down in the pelvis head down I could deliver vaginally. It is a wait and see kind of thing. She has only turned head down for the first time in the past two weeks so it is impossible to know if the baby would even attempt to drop. I get monitoring twice a week at the perinate office so I know she is most definately moving head up and head down (and sometimes transverse). She is a big baby too so it is a bit suprising- who knew my uterus is so pliable for her to move around so much.My OB also said she wasn't likely going to flip flop once she moved head down but baby proved her wrong. I stay well hydrated so my amniotic fluid level is always good and that makes it easier for baby to move. Typically fibroids are not an issue for delivery when they are on the upper part of the uterus.

What can I do next?

With my last one I had crazy pain/ pressure from like 7 months on. Come to find out I had a varicose vein, lovely.... I delivered him no problem vaginally though ;) With this one, I am almost 37 wks and he is a mover BIG time! I do have some groin pain and I have dealt with a lot of sciatic pain. But mine hasn't been flipping head up head down, he just seems like he is trying to stretch out in there!! Plus he is up pretty high, which gets pretty uncomfortable at times. I am having contractions and some pressure but last time it was nuts and I delivered just fine and I have never had the fibroid issue. Congrats and have a great delivery!!

The day I went into labor with my daughter, she was pushing on my pelvic bone. I had driven to the store to pick up a prescription for hemorhoids (fun pregnancy stuff, no?) and ever bump/dip in the road I went over I wanted to screech. About 4 hours later was when I realized I was actually starting labor.

I can't say that it was an indicator of labor (she was a week ahead of her due date, and all of her labor was different than with my son... soooooo)... but I DID feel her pressing on the bone. Coincidentally, she was breech 2 weeks prior to that. We ended up doing external version at about 37 weeks when she still hadn't turned. It was a grand success.

I'm over 38 weeks and feel tons of pressure...basically everywhere. Have felt it for months, but now, of course, it is much worse. I also have a fibroid, so now after you make mention of your, I wonder if it makes the pain/pressure worse. This is my third baby, but during my first, my doctor was able to tell by the location of the fibroid that it would not be in the way of a vaginal delivery. I'm surprised that your doctor isn't sure. Are you sure your baby still has enough room to make a complete flip. I'm having lots of contractions but am not dialated. I was told that at this point the baby won't flip. I guess it depends on how much room is left in there. Wishing you lots of luck and an easy delivery. After my deliveries, the pain I was having was gone immediately. I could finally move again. I hope you experience the same.

The few weeks prior to delivery can have some pretty excruciating moments. Not much room for the baby to move and they rub against a lot of our parts and make us sore and cause sharp pain. It's pretty normal. It's that last bit of pressure that makes us say "Lets get this thing out of me no matter what it takes".

Late pregnancy is uncomfortable no matter what.
At least that was my experience.
I'm pretty small framed, so I just ached.
My daughter, my first baby, was head down basically my entire pregnancy.
Because of my size and some other issues, I was monitored very closely and she just always seemed to be head down and stayed that way.
My son was a different story. He actually was head down the day before I went into labor and guess who decided he needed a different view of his little world at the last minute.
Long story short, I still didn't have a c-section.

If you have to get a c-section, just remember that all that matters is a healthy baby and healthy mom.
In the meantime, just remember that all this discomfort will fade from memory once you have your baby in your arms.

Very best wishes.
