my nephew was born with sevre allergies, has been on meds since he was a few months old..my brother has the worst allergies in the family and his son got them too. My sons are not as bad but by 2 1/2-3 we knew he had to take things for them as in different season his nose would run so much and the sneezing was awful. We had him tested as we thought there could be peanut allergies going on and he is allergic to peanuts (not horribly) and Dog Silvia! who knew! so we have to give him something before he visits people with dogs.

My kids seem to right now too! I think it is the cold to hot weather. AAHH!! I use these awesome all natural products around my house and they seem to help a lot. They aren't being exposed to chemicals and inhalents.

A., when I first retired from Corporate America, I did a part-time home business of 'Temp Daycare Staffing'. I would fill in for the day at Daycares when an employee called out sick. I worked mostly in the baby area and the toddler area. What I saw was kids coming in after the weekend mostly without cold/allergy symptoms. What happened prior to nap time or during nap time, if the children had dirty (poopy) diapers, the staff would spray with lysol or other disenfectants. This spraying would take place while the children were laying on their mats on the floor. So the room was sprayed without missing the children. This spraying affected me as well and I would have to leave the area until the mist settled. What happened the next day, several children would come in with runny noses and allergy sypmtoms. The infant room got sprayed several times as infants were not being potty trained. Someone sent me this link and I found it most disgusting about toxins in products even doctors recommend, mainly because disenfectants are supposed to be a good thing. http://video.aol.ca/video-detail/cbc-marketplace-report-t...
I now use all non-toxic products, cleaning products as well as personal care products, makeup etc.

Good luck and I certainly hope you find what is causing your childs problems.

I say yes, some dr's would disagree. Not sure how long it has been going on but my youngest had them very early on.

Talk to your Dr .. you might be able to get a script for Allegra .. it has been very successful for my son and we use it seasonally.

Both of my boys were tested at different ages. Evan was 10 months old when tested and he has inhaled allergeis (pollen, dust, ragweed, mold) and Aaron was tested at 1.5 years and he has dust and tree pollen allergies.

Hi A.. I have a 23 month old DD and we are going through the same thing. It is rare for a young child to have allergies - it is more likely back to back colds.
However - my daughter has literally had a cough, cold, runny eyes, runny noses for weeks on end.
It is SO frustrating.
With countless trips to the DR all they can really conclude it - her ears are clean, her lungs are clean, he nose is clogged. It is either nasal allergies, a sinus infection (not likely as no other symptons) or a food allergy making her mucousy.
We are off to a child allergiest next week for testing to see what is going on.

Good luck, be persistent with your DR and see an allergist if you need to!
