My husband and I have finally agreed on a name for your little girl. Lindsey Irene, but now I am wondering about spelling. Would you spell it Lindsay or Lindsey. I have seen both spelling and I am leaning more towards Lindsey but would like others opinions.
That's my daughter's name and we chose to spell it with an e. I just think it looks better written out like that. I know technically that's the boy spelling, but I haven't run into any boys her age with the name. I think it's fell out of favor with boys.

Lindsey with an E! Much more common, less chance of being misspelled. I know one who has it Lindsay and they pronounce it Lind-ZAY, drives me nuts ;-)

Lindsey is ranked #460 and Lindsay is ranked #653 on the Social Security baby name list for 2011. Some people like to go with the more popular spelling (Lindsey) so the child will have their named spelled correctly more often. I think both spellings are correct.

the few I know have it spelled with an "e".
I like it with an e... either way, very pretty name.

If you have an e in your last name use the e and if an a use the a. I like it when vowels are repeated in names.

I think Lindsey is the least misspelled version.
It is a double gender name, I knew a guy named Lindsey too.
The e and a might be for gender difference... but that never worked for my name which is ends in an i and the male version is supposed to end in y. I think those rules fell apart a few decades ago.

That is what we are naming our daughter! :) She will be Lindsey Ann. My husband picked her name and I told him that my only requirement was that it be spelled "sey" instead of "say". When I see Lindsay, I am always tempted to pronounce it with a hard "a" at the end.
You have great taste ;)

What I have been told is that Lindsay is for a girl, and Lindsey is for a boy. If that is true, I would go with that.
Congrats on the upcoming event!

I like that LindsEy IrEnE contains all of the Es.
Lendsey Irene....or maybe not. Lindsey Irene for certain.
We have a funky last name and our daughter literally has ONLY As in all three of her names....except the one Y that is sometimes a vowel in her middle name.
