Hi im K. single mother of a 22 month old lil girl. I would like the learning toys and dvd's to be more affordable.
I am looking to do a start up business. I would like to get into distribution. I am interested in the products Mom's would like to see at affordable prices.
So I am simply interested in what products Mom's would like to see at affordable prices?
Giving you, your say.

K.,
I have several friends that is seems are already doing what you're wanting to do. They are all making money from home in their pj's... I would be happy to connect you with one or all of them so you can share information....

I would love to see someone sell organizational materials - like storage bins and closet plans, without the huge expense at the Container Store (by the way, I love the Container Store). Just for our closet (basic) it's about $1700 to do a closet system. There has to be a cheaper way, so we could do something in ALL the closets! I could also use some help organizing kitchen cabinets, pantry, etc. And then there is my basement! Woah!
Not sure how you'd do it, but that is my idea.
Good luck!
Educational toys and outdoor equipment for children that wasnot overpriced would be good. I do a nutritional home business with #1 rated products as well as a travel business which makes travel much more affordable if you want to check them out. P. dybinski ###-###-####
Educational toys - good quality but not overpriced!
Professional organization services and cute little girl tights.
When my kids were younger, diapers and wipes. I still use wet wipes for everything even with both potty trained.
Also healthy snacks. It is nuts the cost of those healthy snack bars that are made for kids, like $5.95 for a box of six! I do part time babysitting and it is nuts the cost of trying to provide large amounts of something healthy.
Affordable, quality, fashionable clothes - for mommy and baby!
Sorry you got so many pyramid offers, unless one of them appeals to you. I am a huge scrapper so Creative Memories is always an appealing idea to me, but not inexpensive like you requested. I read through your responses to get some ideas myself. The need for cheap healthy snacks and ready made food seemed to be big one. I know with a 12,8 3mo old daughters that I homeschool and 2 yr old niece that I watch everyday for 2 meals, coming up with quick, healthy snacks is sometimes challenging and time consuming. Toys was also very big. Please post your thoughts about the responses, I am interested to see what you decided to do.
fitness gear----quality clothing(yoga, running, cycling 'cause the cheap stuff from Target doesn't hold up well or perform as well as say Izumi, hind, nike, etc.)
AND tote-around-baby gear like joggers and trailers plus accessories
1. Nursing Shirts. 2. Furniture for the baby's room that is affordable and sturdy, that grows w/the child. 3. Children's real leather shoes that are wide enough to fit their feet, since they grow so fast I don't like to spend $30-40 on one pair.
Healthy food ready to eat for lunches or for regular meal planning.
Hi K. - I work full time outside my home and also have a home-based business. (Plus a 3 and a 5 year old and a husband who works full time and getting his PhD!) If you are serious about a start up, you should consider a couple of things. (I have been working my home-based business for about 10 months - no parties thank goodness! - and will be in the position to make this my full time career this year, (replacing a 6-figure income) so I speak from experience) 1.) You wil have more success with a broader range of products. If men, kids and women can sample and purchase from you, the earning income is bigger. Limiting yourself to just things that Moms/women would buy, well, limits you. 2.) The real way to give you and your family money and the gift of time is to leverage YOUR time. Teaching and traninig others to do the same allows you to grow any business quickly and see profit. Network martketing is a well-recognized viable alternative to trying to make it on your own or in the corporate world. 3.) Reasonbly priced is important, but only in the context that what you are selling is less than the commercial market demands. So price is tricky, be careful.
Anyway, my home-based business is my passion and I would be happy to answer any more questions you have. Good luck!
Adorably trendy burp clothes and bibs.
So, you're asking what products we would like to see, right? You're not asking for a business idea or opportunity, right? If that's the case, here's some stuff I'm always mad about being too expensive, and would like to see more affordable:
Maternity clothes, baby shoes, DIAPERS, formula, strollers and carseats, child bedding, children's books (and ones that are more durable for the price!), toilet paper (that doesn't just rip and fall apart - with three kids potty training, this is a MUST), healthy kids' snacks, kids' furniture, educational toys, batteries for educational toys (the disc ones, not the regular AAA, AA, C, and D sizes), coloring books (I mean, come on right? $3 for a 25 page book that a child is just going to scribble on and rip up in less than a week??), preschool activity books or other media, and probably a bunch of other stuff I can't think of right now.
Definitely let me know when you get your business up and running. I'm always looking for the best deal.
By the way, I don't think this was an inappropriate question. I just think some people misunderstood exactly what you were looking for...
Health care and child care...
Healthy snacks kids will love. Not just hyped up healthy but still have all the sugar, corn syrup and hydrogenated oils. (granola bars, cereal!) Something all natural, yummy and affordable.
I think it's inappropriate to ask about business stuff on this board. IMO
I find that a business is easier if you have a product that you find joy and passion in. The Wellness market is a $750 Billion industry and everyone wants to be well, feel well, and stay well. I don't know any mom who isn't concerned with the health of herself and her family. I have found the best foods on the planet with indisputably the best company. I have better health than I have ever had in my life. I have been able to keep my children off medications by giving them foods their bodies can use to heal itself, and I have had a major income opportunity for me and my family. I do all this and have freedom to be with my family and find fulfillment through helping others. My company is going to give me what I truly want, which is the ability to help others change their lives, financially as well and health wise. Let me know if you want some info on what I do. Other wise, good luck!

If I could show you a way to make your home safer, your family healthier & improve your finances, would you be interested in learning more?
Would you be open to a business idea that you add to your current income?
Have you ever considered looking into ways to earn an extra income alongside what you are currently doing?
If I could show you a way to generate an additional income without interfering with what you do now, would that be something you would be interested in learning more about?
This is free infomation. Their are a couple of ways I can get you to info. We can do it on the computer by Webcast or on the Phone. It takes about 30 minutes. I only want to share information and let you be the judge. Please visit my website at http://www.stayinhomeandlovinit.com/marian

I live in Utah and would love to see more affordable car seats and boosters. Especially now because we have to keep kids in them until 8 years old.
Hi K.! I just wanted to share with you what I've been doing as I started my own business. I started selling Scentsy four months ago for an added income and it has literally changed my life. I hope that I am able to quit my 40 hr/week job and do this full time. I know you asked what products Mom's would like to see at affordable prices... but Scentsy is affordable and it's candles and most people love candles. If you've never heard of it is wickless candles. A decorative warmer (45 to choose from to go with any interior) melts candle wax by a 25 watt lightbulb. It's safe, makes your home smell wonderful and its affordable. There are over 80 scents to choose from and Scentsy also offers room sprays and car candles. As I said before it's really changed our lives and I'm not exaggerating or trying to get you to sign up. I've made good money with it and I decide when and how I work my business. Its been fun to get out and meet new people and visit with others for a couple of hours a week. I could go on and on but I won't. I'm not trying to force this as a business on you at all but I thought I'd share the opportunity and let you know how rewarding it has been for me. If you'd like more information please visit my website and let me know if you have any questions. www.scentsy.com/3985
Good luck and I wish you success in your business search!
Ditto to the previous...but NOT made in China
K.,
I'm selling my business. I started "Rosie Bottoms" it is all onesies and pants. I designed 17 diiferent onesies 5 of which are holiday. I just had my second baby and I'm so busy I can't run my business. I sold them in retail stores in Denver, Castle Rock and Evergreen for $21.00. I have a lot of stock and would be willing to help you if you are interested. I had a website and I just cancelled it because I couldn't keep up with maintaining it. Please call me if you want more info. Dana ###-###-####
Parties are a drag. Maybe in some areas it is still fun for people but it seems everyone that gets invited to them doesn't want to go and end up going for their friends sake. It makes people feel obligated to buy stuff they don't necessarily want or need. I did a party for my sister in law as she started a business and begged me to do it for her. A lot of the people came I invited but I felt bad as it seemed to be out of obligation. Then, she made about $400 or so on the party and told me I could pick out $10 worth of product for free for the amount of people I had come to the party. $10 didn't even cover my time to pass out invites, clean my house and provide refreshments. I would have done it regardless but it doesn't leave anyone feeling warm fuzzies:) Sorry to be down on the at-home businesses but it seems they have been overdone. Anyone feel this way?
