NAET Therapy

Has anyone gone through the NAET therapy? My son is in the middle of treatment and has mixed results. He is/was allergic to egg, milk, peanut, dogs, cats, pollen, dust, grass, trees etc. He also has eczema and asthma. He was treated for egg and can now eat egg with no reaction and his eczema is so much better. His skin actually looks amazing, like a normal boys skin. He has also completed the treatment for milk but still had a small reaction to milk. He was anaphalactic to milk and would break out in hives if he touched it. After the treatment he can touch it with no reaction but got the itchy mouth/throat when he drank it. Our NAET doctor told us to avoid milk and continue the home treatment for milk. He is now being treated for the environmental things.

I know it worked for the egg and for his eczema but not sure about the milk. I really like our doctor and learned about her through a friend who took her allergic child 3 years ago and was treated successfully for milk, egg, peanut and dog allergies. We seem to be having mixed results or maybe I am just too impatient. My son's milk allergy was pretty severe. I would love to hear from anyone who has gone through the NAET therapy. I would love to hear your experience!

My son is 11 yrs old, the oldest of 4. He is taking probiotics. I have read Dr. Bock's book "Healing the new childhood Epidemics" and started giving him probiotics and omega.

What can I do next?

Hi M.,

My husband and I have both done NAET treatments very succesfully. He specifically went for a cat allergy and I was dealing with Spring/pollen/grasses allergies.

As you know, you don't just treat a cat allergy, you first treat the allergies to the other, more basic things like milk, wheat, eggs, sugar, etc. first. By the time she got to the cat allergy, he was so healthy and feeling so good, it was truly unbelievable. We both came out of NAET treatments feeling so much better than we could have ever predicted. Of course, we both discovered allergies to things like mold and foods that we didn't know we had and that were taxing our systems. When all those things were eliminated, we felt healthy and clear - not foggy or sluggish or slow moving like we sometimes had before.

There were some things that were pretty persistant and we did work on them with home treatments and it worked. I think if your son was so severely allergic that he couldn't even touch milk, then it will be something you have to be patient with and do home treatments and maybe even redo the milk allergy treatments periodically.

Get the book and read all about it if you can, Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique - it's very informative and helpful.

ps. we've had a cat for 8 years without any problems and I am free of springtime allergies! yay!

Hi M.,

I don't know how old your son is but get him some probiotics to help heal his colon. This may help as well.

Good luck. D.

Hi M.,
I have not gone through NAET but I am an acupuncturist and I intend to take her classes. Have you read Devi Nambutripad's books: Say Goodbye to Children's Allergies? If you haven't already gone on her website maybe you should, just google NAET. Oriental medicine is powerful and it takes time for the body to heal. Have patience. It sounds like you are getting amazing results...that western medicine has not given you.
