They wont give him the surgery if he is sick. This could cause pneumonia to bulid up in the lungs during surgery and make him sicker. So, I doubt it and they will probably reschedule the entire surgery for another time when he is well.

Usually when there's any signs that the immune system is comprimised they do not put anyone under anesthesia because of after effects from it. So with being sick let the drs., nurses as well as surgeons know so it can be rescheduled as soon as possible.

You should not have the surgery - the surgery can wait. Let the doctors know. The immune system should be in good shape. No Tylenol as it puts the immune system on hold for up to 21 days. Let the fever do its thing - fever means the body is working. If it gets over 104 for most, or if they are really uncomfortable, then you give Motrin (dye free).

No.

Tell his Doctor/Surgeon.
They will need a head's up on it, so they can reschedule and book a surgery room.

I doubt it. Our son was going in for teeth to be fixed and it was cancelled. We went ahead and still brought him in. We were told to do that because you never know. The anesthesiologist will have the final call.

No, not if he has a fever - take him anyway though, because kids fever comes and goes pretty quickly
