Okay, so my three month old daughter is barely drinking her bottles and is crying all the time. What could be wrong with her? I'm wondering if she is teething or not. By the way, my mom told me i had teeth at five months if thats any help. But please give your opinions. Thank you

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I don't think it's an ear infection because she still sucks on her pacifier but if she is still like this tomorrow im taking her to the doctor cause she has physical therapy tomorrow. She has right side torticollis. I.think.it may have.been a 24 hour big cause she seems happy and ate pretty good this morning.

Have you considered moving up to the next nipple opening size for her bottles? She might not be getting enough for her effort and is getting frustrated.

Sounds like an ear infection. Take her to the ped and have her ears checked. It's important you get her to the doctor if she's barely drinking her bottles. She could go downhill fast if she gets dehydrated. Then you'd need to get her to the ER.

See your pediatrician. My daughter did this when she had an ear infection.

My daughter had her first tooth at 3 months. It could be.

Has she been a normal eater and suddenly changed? That sounds like an ear infection to me too. It hurts to suck. So she stops eating as much.

Could be teething, but I would call the pediatrician. Maybe she has a food allergy or illnesss.

Why does she have physical therapy? The reason for the therapy could be causing this.

Be careful of dehydration.
Call the pediatrician if you need guidelines for checking for that.
Does she have a fever?

Never hesitate to call the nurse at your pediatrician. That's why they're there!

Hope she feels better quick!

My third child got her first tooth at 4 months even though her 2 older brothers didn't get their first tooth until 6 months so it is entirely possible. At 3 months she was drooling like mad. She could be getting sick. She may have an ear infection. If you are feeding formula you may need to switch to another one as she may not like this one, it may be upsetting her stomach and so on.
It really is hard to tell you for certain what it is on an online forum.
If you are worried I would call your doctor and bring her in or at least ask the advice nurse what they think.

My son was teething like crazy at 3 months and had his first 2 teeth in at 4 months. But it made him want his bottles even more for comfort. I would guess it is something different than teething.

Could it be reflux or an allergy? Maybe the milk is making her feel bad so she doesn't want to drink it.

I would take her to the doctor. It's worth it for piece of mind.

Hi, R.:

Your baby sucks on the pacifier but barely drinks from her bottle!
That doesn't make sense.
