if it hurts her back or her internal organs, i'm pretty sure she'd shift her position.
why on earth are you micromanaging your much younger stepsister's sleeping position?

I am concerned this will do damage to her internal organs or cause back problems. My kids are older so I am wondering if I am over-reacting. Please help!

My younger son used to sleep in all sorts of weird contortions. He never had any aches and pains, so I just let it be. He sleeps "normally" now, lol. I'm thinking if she is not having issues with bone, muscle, or posture during the day, then she is ok.
i agree with B.
if the C. is not waking up with cramping, soreness and other issues then i would not worry about it.
I've never heard of anyone controlling what position a 9 yr old sleeps in.
If you are that concerned, take a picture, show it to your pediatrician and see what he has to say about it.
how old are you, Charity? You're old enough to have kids?
Welcome to mamapedia, Charity,
If your step-sister was uncomfortable? She would move. Our bodies really do tell us when it is NOT right. Stop hyperventilating over her sleeping positions. Why are you watching her sleep?
