My nanny of three years is no longer going to be caring for our two girls. Any ideas for her last day? What should we give her? We are sad to see her go, but it is on good terms!

What can I do next?

A lovely framed photo, sweet card and some cash.

When I babysat for a family right after college and eventually moved, the little girl gave me a ceramic teddy bear holding a heart that opened up. She picked it out herself, probably at the dollar store. Even though it's not really my "style" it was so meaningful to me that she chose it herself, wrapped it, etc. I still have it, 15 years later.

The family also gave me a pewter bowl from a local craftsman that I also still have.

I liked the framed picture idea and you can even have the frame engraved! Maybe also take her to dinner at her favorite restaurant on her last day. You could even give the gift to her at dinner!

I agree, A framed picture of her with your family or something and a gift card to her favorite store. Or a Spa day would be nice.
