Swelling finally went down this morning. This happened on Thursday. .
She was pushed at school and went face first into the pole. Tooth went right threw her lip and had to get 7 stitches

Sure.... you can call your Dr and let him/her know you think there's infection, take her in, get it checked, possibly start antibiotics!
It should be pretty simple to pick up the phone and call! That's why the Dr's are there!!!
You don't wait around if you think your child has an infection.
Call her pediatrician and get her seen ASAP. Or you could go back to the ER where she was stitched up and be seen. (I am sure they gave you a list of things that would require you to take her back to the hospital ER or call her doctor when they released her from the ER).
Don't mess around with an infection these days...get her back in. Good luck!!
I know when we've left the hospital after having stitches, or when I've had surgeries, they tell you to watch for signs of infection and go right back in.
My c-section scar/stitches became infected once. I had to go on antibiotics.
Infections need to be treated. Call her doctor so she can be seen.
If she gets an infections she should get on antibiotics. It's important! Infections can go away on their own but they can also get worse and get into your bloodstream with very bad consequences. If you think it may be infected you should take her to the doctor to check.
Anything you can do?
Call the doctor.

That stinks! She should be swishing warm salt water in her mouth about 3 times per day. That helps keep the infection down inside. If she has puss looking parts that seem to ooze then it might be infected. I would call the doc's office in the morning and ask them if she should be on antibiotics but it's likely they won't do anything unless you bring her in for them to take a look.
