What does your pediatrician say about it?
He's at the right age for teething and that can cause some pain in his gums and mouth.
Generally as long as he's gaining weight and wetting diapers regularly then there's nothing to worry about but it would be great for you to talk about your concerns at his next doctor visit.

The baby should be taking 24-36 ounces of formula a day, check with the doc to make sure this is right though. Then food, table food or baby food is a supplement, not their nutrition. The formula is their nutrition.
