Try to check his timing ,concentratre on him the whole day ,you will know in about a week when he is ready to do it ,one time when you know & you show him to use bathroom then after couple times or three he will let you know,Try it ,good luck.
My son (3) didn't do this, but my 3 1/2 yr old nephew does. I can see his little abs clench when he's on the toilet. He is so tense that there's no way anything's going to come out. I have heard of this a lot with boys - terrified to poop on the toilet. I have yet to have success with my nephew, but Ill notice he quits tensing up if I have him sit there with a book or a bag of candy.
I trained my son by having him sit on the toilet for about 10 min at a time and slowly give him M & Ms or Skittles. Something was bound to happen, and when it finally did he was SO proud of himself, that he LOVES pooping on the toilet. Good Luck!
start timing him, every 30 min until he goes...regardless, man i DON'T miss potty training days...would have to stay home til 1 on a 12:00 appt because my daughter didn't "go" yet and didn't want her peeing in her car seat AGAIN
