My brother wet the bed til he was in high school. The doctor told my mom he was a heavy sleeper. Which he was you almost had to beat him to get him to wake up. My son wet the bed alot and still dose like once in a blue moon. I asked his doctor about it and he told me that he was a bed wetter too. I would not make a fuss over as they feel bad about it. I would just get some soaker pads that they use under the older people. My son would get mad at me when he knew I had them on his bed. So I would put them under his fitted sheet. That way you just have to wash the soaker and his sheets. I would get a few extra if he dose that offten. A few extra set of sheets to. I wouldn't get upset. He will soon get over it. Just give it some time. I did the same thing you are not letting him have drinks to late and going to the bathroom before bed. I would not get him up in the middle of the night or morning to go to the bathroom as he will start to feel like he's doing something wrong and really he can't help it. When my son got to the school age and would wet the bed on a school day he would have to have a bath before he went to school so instead of making him feel bad about it I changed him from bathing before bed to bathing before he went to school then he didn't have to rush to bath in the morning when he wet the bed it was already in his plan to do. I guess my son is a heavy sleeper too as now he sleep walks. Which is a whole nother story. I hope this helps.

I'm guessing that you could wake him up a little earlier if you think he might be doing it in the morning before he wakes up. You could (and I know you probably are wincing at the thought) put him back in pull-ups for a while to save the sheets. It probably woln't be a long term thing. Kids do stuff like that sometimes and it can't always be explained by us rational adults - lol. It could be a regression due to some change or impending change - it's difficult to guess why.

Also, if you are really reluctant to get back into the pull ups, you could just use super absorbant changing table pads (sometimes they are called lap pads) to soak up the pee and keep your fingers crossed! lol.

Good luck!

Hi L. My son is 3 years old as well. he has been potty trained since he turned 2. Sometimes at night he has wet the bed. It seems he may do it 2 nights in a row and then not for weeks. Befoe he goes to bed I tell him cmon lets go use the bathroom, he always says I dont have to go, So I say you have to go cause if you dont you will wet the bed and BIG BOYS do not wet the bed. he is stuck on being a 'big boy'. And last night it worked great he was dry this morning. It may depend on what time your son goes to bed as well. if you put him to bed early I would try waking him up in middle of night or just before you go to bed. My son goes down around 10. Try the 'big boy' role with him and when he does not wett praise him like crazy on how big he is. Good Luck
