Okay... So my mum had ME for a daughter. If it wasn't grass stains and blood, it was mustard (often staining pink!), ink, blue dye (don't ask).
Instead if throwing out my splattered clothes... She invested in dyes... And a paintbrush. And took the article outside and 'splatterpainted' a lot of my clothes. Others she traced designs in bleach. Others she rhinestoned.
I've learned that 90% of life is graceful recovery: from 'ruined' to "What a great idea!"
A single spot is an accident / looks sloppy. A hundred intentional spots is fashion.
