You should be able to call/ask the pharmacist at the store you are purchasing it from. Or google it and see what it says. I would think you are okay though?!
I've left a message for his Dr, but wanted to get others advice too. My 12 month old breastfeeds 3 to 5 times a day and I'm wanting to take a multivitamin other then the more expense prenatal. Any advice on if taking a store brand of One a Day Women's is ok while nursing so little? I'm planning on taking it after he nurses first thing in the morning. It'd normally be 5 or so hours until he nurses again.

after the birth of both my daughters I just got the walmart brand prenatal and it was pretty cheap.
Unless your Dr instructs otherwise, any prenatal is what you should be taking while nursing. I would say to read labels and stay away from the drugstore brands that have a lot of yucky additives like 'yellow #2' and 'red #5' etc. Trader Joe's has them for a good price.
You don't really need to take a prenatal vitamin while nursing, but you can if you are concerned about nutrition. Any women's multivitamin will get you pretty much the same nutrition. Prenatal vitamins have a lot of extra iron that makes them rather unpleasant- not needed normally and there is actually some evidence that too much iron is harmful. I prefer to take food-sourced vitamins rather than synthetic because the absorption is better, you can find them at natural food stores.
At my CVS, the store brand prenatal was the same price as the store brand women's multivitamin. So that's what I did. That said, just compare ingredients and I think you'll find that they are actually pretty similar - probably just a bit more folic acid in the prenatal.
I just take an over the counter prenatal vitamin. I think Nature's Valley is the brand. It's about $8 for 240 pills, so it's MUCH more affordable than the prescription prenatals.
