Mucus Plug/Bloody Show?

I am not a fan of discussing bodily fluids, but I am 39 weeks pregnant and SUPER uncomfortable so I'm hoping that I might be in the process of the light at the end of the tunnel here...wondering if Mommies here can help me figure it out :)

Yesterday I am pretty sure I lost my mucus plug. It was a clear/cloudy whitish color and the consistancy of snot. Mucus plug, right?

Then, last night after I used the restroom, I noticed a pinkish tint on the paper. A very faint pinkish tint...nothing major. Since then...no signs of blood or anything. Was this my "bloody show"? Or should I be worried about the pink tint?

I have two other kids - the first one I went into labor naturally but don't remember having either a mucus plug lost or the "bloody show"...I had contractions and eventually they broke my water for me at the hospital. The second one was induced, so none of this happened beforehand.

A side note: the other day a I took a bit of a fall. Nothing major at all - I slipped on the tile by our back door and I think my knee took the brunt of the fall, but I did end up in a bit of a gymnastics split! I was pretty sore from it yesterday, but the baby was moving around fine and I didn't feel the need to go to the dr or anything. Could the pink tint come from that? I feel totally fine today (aside from teh extra 45 pounds I'm lugging around!) and the baby is still moving around like normal.

I just need SOMETHING to happen...I am so so done being pregnant and ready to meet this little one!!! :) Thanks ladies!

What can I do next?

Get ready to go! But, it could also be a few more days....with one baby, I did lose the mucus plug and there was NO DOUBT about it. So I was very excited as I was a week over due- BUT did not go into labor until 3 days later.
However, both times- I had the pink tint and both my babies were born that same day. I'd say any day now for you!

GOOD LUCK! Very EXCITING!

With my 3rd baby, I had spotting and lost some of my mucus plug on Wednesday, on Thursday I was having really sporatic contractions, and more spotting. On FRIDAY I went to the doc. in the a.m. for an ultrasound to check everything (was 5 days overdue). That day I had the baby (9:00 at night).

I'd say - you are getting really close.

Yep could be the mucus plug. What you are describing is what it is like.

Watch now for your water to break..

Are you packed? Could be any time or day now.

My 3rd I also had obvious signs of loosing my plug about a month prior to delivering. @ 37 weeks I started with my show. 4 days later I had him. I also had horrible prodrominal labor those 4 days ( didn't happen with my other 2). It was a very quick delivery--the husband missed it by 2 minutes. Good luck to you--my guess is it won't be long at all!

Your slip could have caused tearing of the placenta and silent labor. I would go into the doctor's office to get checked out.
