So yesterday I posted about how on my Dr appt on Thurs I was 2 cm dialated and 50% effaced (sp). Well this morning I lost my mucus plug hehe (sorry for TMI). So want to know how long it took after you moms out there lost yours till you went into active labor. This is a totally different experience then my 1st, my body made no headway and I was induced a week late, it was a very easy delivery but nothing happened on its own, so I feel like this is all new territory. Also even though I was induced it went quickly and I was never in pain or even really uncomfortable (even before epi) so I am curoious if that will feel different or if I will go really quick again. I know its all a guessing game but just wanted to hear your stories :-). Thanks ladies, I am so excited for our little Harley to be here, I cant wait to see her face. :-)
Lost mine 1 week ago, had a bloody show 4 days ago, and still no labor (this is my 4th and I'm 39w2d). I was 4 cm 80% effaced last Monday. So although very promising to lose the plug, still no guarantee.
I had a two week wait for my first , a week with my second he was induced 9 days early due to size.
I lost my mucus plug 2 weeks before my first was born (OB stripped my menbranes without my knowledge or consent). I didn't loose it with my second or third until I was already in labor.
All 3 of my labors were very quick. My second was close to being born on the way there.

I lost my mucus plug... then that SAME day... I went into labor.
I lost my mucus plug early Tuesday morning March 30,2010. Then I my contractions were 3-5 minutes apart by the time it was 8 p.m. that night. My husband took me to the drs. and they checked me, by then my contractions hurt so bad. They checked me said I was 4 1/2 cm dilated and 100% effaced. I was admitted and the following day at 2:55 p.m. I had my son.
I lost mine the 20 hours before I gave birth. My contractions started immediately and I had bloody show. I was also 2 days overdue. I remember when I woke up at 3 with the contractions and saw what happend....so I hopped in the shower to get ready for my big show of pushing. ha ha Time frame from losing the plug to active labor was pretty much immediate. my contractions were 5 mins apart right away....I also had ZERO compilcations with my pregnancy...never really felt anything except for when she moved around after dinner.

With my first 2 I didn't lose the plug till I was in early labour. With my third I was having bloody show and *lots* of mucus (sorry) for a week before they finally induced me at 10 days past EDD. My first labour was 16 hours from water breaking spontaneously to holding my baby; my second was about 6 from the first contraction to holding my baby; and my induced labour was 6.5 hours from start of induction to holding my baby.
I really think babies come when and how the feel like it! Good luck :)
I was scheduled to be induced at 39 weeks. I was already 2 cm dilated a week before and slowly lost my plug. I never went into labor and was induced as planned. good luck!
I lost mine on Wednesday afternoon. My son was born Thursday night. Every pregnancy is different, but either way, its cooomminng......

This was my first baby, I lost part of my mucous plug on a Saturday (2cm/90% effaced), and more came out during the following couple days. My water broke on Thursday and my daughter was born that Friday afternoon!
