Mucousy Cough in Son for About 5 to 6 Weeks Now

how old is your son? did you introduce any new foods? is he coughing up anything? Have you tried allergy medicine? Have you brought him to the doctor? Does he have a fever?

i had a mucousy cough for quite a few weeks when i was pregnant. Finally had to be admitted to the hospital and was diagnosed with pneunomia. Take him to the Doctor !

another thought: if it's just in the mornings, perhaps there is an allergen or mold just in his room.

My son has been having the same problem (and I just saw another very similar question).

I had the same problem a few weeks/moths ago.

What's your gut feeling? My Mom gut tells me it's something I'm just going to have to wait out. I could take him to the pedi, but I know when we're there he's going to be a perfectly healthy kid (no coughing during the day).

I think I'm going to call the pedi on Monday though just to make sure.

How old is your son? We had this happen to our daughter and felt terrible when we finally took her to the doctor and she had a severe sinus infection we thought was just a cold.

Ugh! My daughter has had this cough for going on 9 weeks now. 3rd time to the doctor and we are on antibiotics finally. Kept hearing it's viral before that and wait it out. It could be allergies though.

Ugh! We've had it for going on 4 weeks at our house. I took our 11 mo old to the dr last Monday because I was worried it could be something more, but they said her lungs were good and her ears were clear and just wait it out. But I'm going to take her back if it's still not gone after this week.
